My Ex-husband Begs Me Back
Chapter 1344: Neglect

Chapter 1344: Neglect

Daisy's secretary, of course, couldn't tell Mona the truth, just saying, "She's probably not awake yet, or Miss Armstrong's generosity made Miss Daisy happy."

Mona nodded without saying anything, and the secretary took the opportunity to say, "You've worked hard. Miss Daisy probably won't be going out today, so you should go back and rest!"

Mona nodded again. It was quite convenient to translate for Daisy, as she didn't need to do much. Mona didn't think much about it, just assuming that Daisy was jet-lagged and didn't plan on going out, so she went straight back to her room.

After Mona's assistant left, Daisy's secretary also returned to Daisy's bedroom.

Daisy had already changed clothes and was now sitting in front of the dressing table doing her makeup.

The secretary glanced at her and asked, "Miss Daisy, are you going out?"

Daisy said, "I'm going to Simpson Group to see Ayan. I have a good reason to create an opportunity, so I don't plan to miss it."

Daisy continued, looking at the secretary, "I don't need to inform that assistant about my visit to Simpson Group. Send her away. I don't want anyone to know about my visit."

Daisy was cautious because she knew Mona was Ayan's person and couldn't possibly tell Mona everything.

The secretary nodded and said, "Mona has already gone back to her room. I thought you needed to rest, so I let her go."

Satisfied, Daisy nodded. Since she was gone, there was no need to waste time making excuses.

Daisy quickly tidied up, and half an hour had passed. They left the hotel room together and took the elevator downstairs.

Because Daisy didn't know the location of Simpson Group, but her phone map could search for it. With the help of the hotel front desk, they called a car and headed straight to the Simpson Group building.

So, during this process, no one knew that Kian received the message until about an hour later, when the receptionist at Simpson Group, after inquiring, found out that the other party was from Tillery Group and immediately reported it to Kian.

The receptionist naturally didn't know about what happened last night or about Daisy's thoughts on Ayan. They only knew that Tillery Group had cooperated with Simpson Group before and was a very prestigious company abroad, so they couldn't afford any neglect.

Kian was also very surprised to hear this news, frowning, he asked, "Are you sure it's someone from Tillery Group? Is it a girl?"

Kian briefly described Daisy's appearance and the receptionist nodded in agreement, "Yes, Mr. Reid, it's the person you mentioned. She's sitting in the waiting area now. Should I let her up or arrange for someone to come down?"

The receptionist still hadn't realized that Kian's mood was a bit off and kept looking at Daisy, waiting for Kian's response.

On the phone, Kian was silent for a few seconds and then said, "Offer her some tea first. Mr. Simpson is still in a meeting, so we'll have to wait a bit."

The receptionist murmured in agreement and ended the call.

Kian, upon hearing the news, quickly went to the office. He knocked on the door and then went in.

Looking at Ayan, his face serious, he said, "Mr. Simpson, Miss Daisy is downstairs. I just found out about this from the receptionist's call."

"Wasn't someone supposed to accompany her?" Ayan asked, furrowing his brow.

Kian nodded, "Yes, I arranged for Mona to accompany her, but I don't know the situation there, and she didn't inform me in advance. I suspect Mona doesn't know, maybe Daisy intentionally sent Mona away!" Kian trusted Mona, otherwise, he wouldn't have arranged for her to accompany Daisy as a translator.

But Mona didn't give him any hint, obviously being unaware.

Ayan also had a serious face and said calmly, "You handle it. She's here at Simpson Group as a private visitor. The project team from Mr. Tillery's side hasn't arrived yet, so I don't need to meet her." Kian nodded, then reluctantly went to receive Daisy.

Having told Daisy that Ayan was still in a meeting, Kian took about ten minutes to finally take the elevator downstairs.

As soon as Kian came out of the elevator, Daisy saw him and immediately waved, "Mr. Reid!"

Kian smiled politely and said, "Apologies, Miss Daisy, for keeping you waiting. Mr. Simpson is still in a meeting. Shall we take a tour of Simpson Group?"

Daisy agreed, nodding her head.

Kian didn't mention why Mona didn't come along because he had already contacted Mona before going downstairs. Mona was indeed unaware and had explained the situation at the hotel to Kian.

Kian instructed Mona to be more vigilant. From the rumors outside, Daisy was considered the princess of Tillery Group, pampered and adored. However, regardless of appearance, she was raised in a family where intrigues were commonplace. Her father, Mr. Tillery, had many illegitimate children, so growing up in such a family environment, she couldn't possibly be naive. She must be a cunning and shrewd person.

So Daisy wasn't as simple as she appeared. Her thoughts and calculations were undoubtedly more advanced than those of many young ladies and socialites in high society.

Kian accompanied Daisy around Simpson Group, and time passed quickly. It was almost time to close.

Daisy looked at Kian and asked, "Has Ayan not finished his meeting yet?"

Kian glanced at his watch and said, "Not yet. Today's meeting is about many project collaborations at Simpson Group, so it's taking longer. Mr. Simpson also returned from abroad for a week, so many projects need detailed review. Do you have something to discuss with Mr. Simpson?"

Kian asked in a soft, probing voice, his dark eyes fixed on Daisy.

Daisy was displeased but didn't question him. She looked visibly disappointed, especially since she had come specifically to see Ayan, who was currently alone at Simpson Group without Camille for comparison. She was very confident she could win Ayan over.

However, the timing wasn't right, which made Daisy a bit sad.

Daisy bit her lip and asked, "Can I wait for him?"

Kian frowned slightly, wanting to refuse in his heart, but he couldn't directly reject Daisy. So he could only politely smile and say, "If there isn't anything urgent to discuss with Mr. Simpson, Miss Daisy, I suggest you go back first. Mr. Simpson still has a dinner engagement after the meeting, so he may not have much time to see you."
