Avery’s pov
My fingers brush the empty space beside me. searching for the warmth from Xade. My eyes peeled open when I skim across cool sheets. I blinked, adjusting my vision to the sun filtering through the window. and rolled on my back, wincing from the aches of my muscles.
The memories of how my muscles got to aching in the first place flooded my mind and a creeping blush splotched on my cheeks.

I let out a soft sigh, stretching and yawning. I welcomed the sweet ache between my thighs, a reminder of Xade being between them last night until the wee hours of the morning. I held the sheet to my naked chest as I sat up and looked around the room.
The shirt I had on last night is carelessly at the very far corner of the room while the boxer he had given me is even further. I swung my le
legs over the side of the bed and planted my bare feet on the floor, releasing the sheets around me and walked over to the scatters clothes.
After I got dressed and ran my hand through my wild hair to tame it. I stepped out of the room. There’s a delicious smell of heated up pizza that made my belly growl.
I know it was no longer morning and I also knew I missed my class. but right now I could not seem to care.
The aroma of the pizza pulled me to the kitchen where I found Xade

pulling out the slices from the microwave. His eyes snap to mine. instantly and a soft smile spreads across his face as his eyes twinkle with warmth and fondness.
Good afternoon baby.” The sight of him, shirtless and wearing only a pair of sweatpants, made my heart flutter and my lower stomach to swirl with heat. Baby… will I ever get used to him calling me that?
He looked so delicious that I grew hungry for something else entirely. Good afternoon. I thought you’d be at the gym.” I returned his smile, flushing as I made my way over to him, my eyes shyly on his lips.
No energy to train today, you took all last night,” He grinned, placing the plate with the pizza down on the countertop, and with his other arm, he pulled me flush against him.
“You look so good in my clothes,” he whispered, leaning in to feather his lips against mine.
I remember when I wore his clothes before we were even what we are now, he would always mention how I look good with his stuff on. Those flirting and teasing, little touches back then… had he meant all of them and I hadn’t noticed?
My cheeks flamed as he pulled away to stare down at me with adoration, fingers playing with the ends of my hair as he smiled. You’re so adorable when you blush,” he chuckled and pulled me in, hist lips feathering across my ear which caused me to shiver and squirm.
After all that we did last night you’re still shy.” he teased, one of his hands snaking down my bottom and squeeze.
I buried my face on his chest, murmuring “Stop,” as I swatted his chest lightly with my palm. He chuckled, squeezing my bottom once more and planting a soft lingering kiss on my head. I sighed, curling my arms around his midsection as we just stayed there hugging each other.
Until my growling belly decide to break us apart. A soft laugh pushed out of Xade’s mouth, the vibration of his chuckle on my check. Ile released me, teasing. “Hungry huh?”
I gave him a sheepish look and his eyes twinkled as he turn to grab a slice of pizza off the plate. I gasp when I see a quick flash of his back marked with red claws that I am very certain I had inflicted.
My fingers brush against them. “Oh my God Xade, did I do all of this?”
“You marked him pretty good last night huh tiger?” Xaden said somewhere in the living room area, making my eyes widen in surprise. Had he been here all along and now just noticed him? I flushed in embarrassment, my tongue getting tied.

Xaden groaned, fake gagging. “The sexual tension is unbearable and gross, you two need to get a room! Wait never mind, those poor neighbors need a break from hearing you both last night.”
