Chapter 50 

Nora quieted down for a while, feeling somewhat unwilling. 

Why should he let Giselle go so easily? 

Ever since their student days, Nora had always been inferior to Giselle in all aspects. 

Apart from failing to win over Mickey, which still rankled with her, Nora was most upset about the time when the school held a vote for the most popular girl on campus. 

Nora had always wanted that honor the most, while Giselle clearly had no interest in it and only participated because her classmates signed her up. Giselle didn’t do any campaign, and even her personal page on the school website was made by her classroom.

“My boyfriend runs a company himself, and his friends are all well off in financial state and career. They are better than Mickey in all aspects! You can find a better man to piss Mickey off then.” 

Giselle refused. “I don’t need to do that.” 

“Don’t try to cover your feeling. You must have been sad and upset all along. Do you really want to miss such a good opportunity? I’m doing this for your own good.” 

Nora kept bragging, “My boyfriend’s friends are all high–quality men that many girls like. If it weren’t for the fact that you are so pitiful and really good–looking, I wouldn’t want to introduce you to them. 

“After all, they don’t like ordinary people.” 

Giselle remained plain. “I said no.” 

“This is a good opportunity. If Nora is willing to help you find a boyfriend, you don’t have to reject it so quickly. Maybe you can meet a better boy! 

“Nora is well–intentioned. If you have the chance to meet a better guy, you can get out of the shadow of your previous relationship sooner!” 

Some people tried to persuade her. 

“See…” Nora said proudly. “Everyone thinks so. I’m just trying to help you. If you agree, I’ll immediately tell my boyfriend to find you a suitable partner!” 

Nora had finally found an opportunity to show off her superiority. 

In the midst of sarcastic gazes, Giselle was about to speak when the door of the private room was suddenly knocked.

“But this is…” Giselle struggled to speak, wondering if she was mistaken or hallucinating. 

Just then, she noticed the man standing at the door, obviously here to watch the fun. 

That face made Giselle realize that the person who had been staring at her when she went out to make a phone call was a friend of Hymes. 

But she was even more puzzled as to why Hymes suddenly came to find her. 

Hymes raised his hand and rubbed Giselle’s head affectionately when Giselle struggled to say something. He looked around and nodded in a reserved and cold manner. “Hello, I’m Gigi’s husband. I happened to be eating here and thought I’d drop by to say hello.” 

“Wait, you’re Giselle’s husband? We finally get to meet him in person!”

“Oh, so Giselle really got married!” 

“Wow, Giselle. Your husband is so handsome!” 

Nora, who was still standing at the door, was as stiff as a stone. 

Her face was deathly pale, and her lips were trembling. “Are you really Giselle’s husband?” 

Hymes cold gaze glanced over at her. “Is there any reason for you to doubt that?” 

“But do you know she just broke up? How could she…” 

Hymes knew that she was the initiator of evil so said to her coldly, “I have to thank Gigi for breaking up with that guy. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had a chance to marry her. If you have any issues with that, you can talk to my lawyer.” 

Neville adjusted his glasses on his nose at this moment and calmly spoke, “Hello. I’m his lawyer. If you have any complaints about Mr. and Mrs. Giles‘ marital status, feel free to come to talk to me.” 

Nora stared at them in disbelief. “Lawyer? What are you guys doing? I was just asking a question. Why are you bringing up a lawyer?” 

Nora’s heart was in chaos, especially after seeing the extraordinary demeanor of these people. Nora realized that she had messed up 

with someone she shouldn’t have.
