Chapter 2111

Stella nodded.

She was about to say something else when Jaylene pushed the door open and said, "Ste-Ms. Hall, can you come out for a moment? I need to talk to you."

So, Stella held her tongue and said to Larry, "The HR department will assist you with your onboarding. Just do whatever they ask."

Then, she turned around and walked out.

Larry glanced around and heard the HR manager calling him, so he went to fill out his information.

Jaylene waited for Stella in the walkway.

Stella walked over and asked, "What is it?"

Jaylene said flatly, "Trevor's flight is arriving at eleven. Did you know?"

Stella nodded.

"Are you going to pick him up?"

"Yeah," Stella responded.

"Let's go together then." Stella was taken aback.

"You're going too?" Jaylene frowned.

"What's wrong with it? He's not just your brother; he's my brother too! We lived together for more than twenty years!"

Stella shrugged her shoulders.

"Whatever."

She did not care if Jaylene went or not.

She was just a little surprised that Jaylene had gotten smarter.

If they went to the airport separately, Trevor might not necessarily ride in Jaylene's car.

Their relationship had been tense lately, and she must have noticed it.

She only offered to go with Stella because she was trying to ease the tension between her and Trevor.

Although they were not biologically related, their twenty years of relationship was genuine.

Jaylene probably realized that fighting with Trevor was irrational, or perhaps Darcie advised her to please him.

If it was the latter, then her goal was not just to mend their relationship-it would be something more complicated. Xavier drove the two of them to the airport.

It was halfway through March, and the weather was gradually warming up, with temperatures reaching nearly twenty degrees at noontime.

Jaylene was already wearing her spring clothes, but Stella had a coat that looked somewhat thick.

When they got out of the car to wait for Trevor, Jaylene looked at Stella from head to toe and asked, "Don't you feel hot?"

Stella replied flatly, "My mom said it's good to keep warm during spring. I'm just used to it."

Wearing a coat could cover her belly, although it was not very big yet.

Jaylene adjusted her jacket and asked, "How's Keegan?"

Stella remained nonchalant.

"Ask him yourself if you want to know."

Jaylene chuckled, her voice soft, sounding somewhat disdainful.

Stella could not help but glance at her.

Then, Jaylene said, "Stella, you've been living in Royalpark Villa for so long now, and Keegan still hasn't regained his memory at all.

Wouldn't it be inappropriate for you to continue staying there?"

Stella looked at her.

"What are you trying to say?"

Jaylene replied flatly, "There are some things that Keegan can't say outright. After all, we came from such influential families. If he made things too explicit, it would be embarrassing for everyone. You understand, right?"

"I don't."

Stella's eyes were cold.

"Jaylene, why don't you make yourself clearer?"

Jaylene pursed her lips and said, "Stella, I know it's hard for you to accept that Keegan has lost his memory, but if he can't remember, he can't. You're living in his house as a nobody.

"If outsiders talk about it, not only will they mock the Saun family for being shameless, but Keegan's reputation in the circle will also be affected. If you really love him, you shouldn't put him in such an awkward position."
