Chapter 37 Guess Who Saves Him Now

Hunter Leto P.O.V

He wore some black leather gloves and approached me.

" I showed you mercy and let you go, this is how you repay me?” He started.

“ You harmed her.” He snarled.

“I didn’t. My human side did.” I exclaimed honestly.

" I don’t care.” He pressed on my broken ribs making me howl in agonising pain.

“It wasn’t my fault!” I reasoned but he pressed on it more. I wriggled, trying to get away.

My canines lengthen along with the pain on reflect. “Oh you feel that?” He mocked.

“That’s called pain.” He said.

“The same type of touch my daughter went through from her very own mate.” He continued.

He punched at the exact spot where the bruise on my face was making my head turn in the opposite direction of the hit.

He punched my stomach hard, oxygen leaving out of my mouth in an instant as my knees buckled beneath me.

He took a long chain and swing it harshly on my back as both, me and Lucifer whimpered in pain. He kept swinging it and my legs gave out, the only thing that was holding me was the cuffs.

He came in front to my view and threw the chain away before punching me hard on the face repeatedly making me spit out blood.

My vision was getting blurry.

I winced as I heard more of her cries.

I need to get to her.

" She needs me. ” I said with a bloody mouth, eyes flashing hazel orange.

" Didn’t you get enough?” He boomed before slapping me hard. He took a bottle of liquid into his hands.

" Do you know what this is ? “ He questioned.

" It’s alcohol mixed with wolfs bane.” He answered to his own question.

I heard banging on the door, but it was getting faint.

“Let me go to her, she needs me.” I tried. He splashed the liquid on me making my whole frame burn. I felt like thousand of needles poking into me right after the end was heated with fire.

I screamed out in pain, unable to hold it in. Breathing heavily. I could hear Lucifer whimpering, going through the same pain as I was going through.

The door was suddenly yanked open and a petite frame covered mine. With my blurry vision, I couldn’t identify who. But with my nose, I knew it was my loving mate.

Valentine Winters P.O.V

I banged on the door harshly. I knew he was back.

But why did he?

I felt his pain. But I knew he was going through it more. I was just having a minor from what’s his going through and even that hurt like a mother.

I was crying by now.

I didn’t know why.

His screams were hell to my ears and I couldn’t take it. I’ve never heard him scream in pain before.

My dad loves me to death. I know he will eradicate him whenever he gets the opportunity.

But why isn’t he thinking about the pack?

It’ll set war between the packs. He isn’t in his right mind. I mind link to my mom to help me.

To control her mate.

Even she was clueless to this.

I managed to break the door open and the sight in front of me had my heart split into two.

“Dad, what are you doing?” I cried running over to block his figure away from him.

“He needs to be punished.” He snarled angrily.

“You’ll kill him.” I said.

“Wouldn’t mind.” He said before pushing me away from him making me fall on the ground.

My mom barged in between them. ” Honey, stop. You’re in a frenzy.” She placed her hands firm on his face examining his emotions.

" Darling, calm down. “ She tried.

" Step aside ” He ordered.

“Look at him! Look at her! Do you want our daughter mateless? You kill him, our daughter will follow.” She boomed and he stopped.

“You need to calm down, please.” She begged.

“Unlock the prisoner. Do as I say, I command you as your Luna.” She ordered the guards. My dad growled at her for disobeying him.

" Do not disrespect me.”

" We are even. ” She growled back and took his hand.

" You’ve had enough now leave them alone.” She said before dragging him away.

She turned to me.

“Get the pack doctor to heal him.”

She faced the guards. ” Convey him to her room. He needs to be beside her to heal faster.”

The guards nodded their heads before unlocking his cuffs making him fall on the floor spitting out more blood, trying to breath in. His nose was bleeding uncontrollably as I sobbed out in fear of his current life-threatening state.

“Quick call the pack doctor!” I cried.

" I’m right here.” I heard and looked over.

He rushed towards his body and took out some cottons with antiseptic. ” I need the nurses. I’ve already mind linked them, he’s in a critical condition.” He stated.

The nurses barged in a few minutes later before doing their work. After they were done, the guards carried him to my room and placed him on my bed.

Luckily, they were both mated.

My scent didn’t trigger them one bit and I was thankful for that. His ribcage was all bandaged and his bruised cheekbone was plastered.

He was unconscious and insensible now.

His lips still had some blood on them.

Why did he come for me? Why has all of this happened?

He looked so broken physically and it made my eyes tear up. He looked to be so powerfully built just days ago and now here he is, weak and feeble.

Beaten half to death.

Cause of me ?

I just couldn’t stop the swirl of emotions that past by me as I caressed his face before wrapping my arms around him and placed my head carefully on his chest, the heat of his body and mine syncing together in harmony.

After all his done, I couldn’t bear watching him get hurt.

This was too much hurt.

Tears kept leaking out of my eyes onto his chest but I didn’t care.

Alas, sleep took over me.
