"Yeah." Clarice thought about how much they had been going at it the last two days. With her face pressed close against his chest, she spoke in a contented and soft voice, "When did you wake up?" Decker answered softly, "I just woke up a while ago.”

He was the same Decker she had known for the last five years, the same gentle and caring man who seemed to have endless patience for her.
