Just as Roland was about to feed her another spoonful of soup, she suddenly pursed her lips and refused to open them again.

He asked perplexedly, "What's wrong?”

"I want you to feed me," she said quite frankly with a vulnerable look in her eyes.

Roland frowned, feeling rather confused.

Although he did not vocalize it, his thought was clearly written on his face: "Am I not feeding you already?"

Isabel made a face. "I want you to feed me directly using your mouth.”

He suddenly grew silent. Although he did not speak, his reddening ears gave him away.

Isabel continued to nudge him on, "If you don't want to, then forget about it."

She hung her head low.

Roland pursed his lips as well. He promptly moved the bowl of soup in front of him and took a sip, then he cupped Isabel's face in his hands.

Her eyes glittered as he planted his lips onto hers.

She parted a small crack in her lips and felt the warm soup slowly guzzling into her mouth.

As if that was not enough, she made sure to peck his lips again with a gentle kiss, as if she was trying to clean up every last drop of soup from his lips.

Roland stiffened.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked at Isabel with a new sharpness within them

Isabel seemed to perk up. She quickly closed her eyes to conceal the smile behind them.

Roland looked at her queerly.

After a while, he let go of her at last. He stared intently at her and observed how vulnerable she looked, as well as at her full and bright red lips. He suddenly asked, "Do you want more?"

She answered meekly, “Yes.”

He picked up the soup and drank a large mouthful this time, then he lowered himself toward her again.

She did not move. She fully submitted to him and watched as he inched his lips closer toward hers. Just when it seem like he was going to kiss her, he suddenly stopped. His mesmerizing eyes were only inches away from hers. His lips hovered over hers while he stopped approaching.

Isabel frowned.

"Why did you stop?" she whimpered in a sad voice, fully aware of the effect this would have on Roland.

He did not budge and continued staring at her without a word. Since he had his mouth full of soup, he could not speak even if he wanted to anyway.

So be it. If he was not going to do it, she would do it herself.

She inched forward and kissed him.

He still kept his lips tightly locked together. It did not seem like he was going to open them for her. Isabel was puzzled by this and slowly grew upset. She used her teeth to forcefully pry his lips apart. After some effort at that, she was flabbergasted.

Why was there no soup at all?

She was thrown off by this and pulled away to look at him

Roland was looking expectantly back at her, staring square into her confounded eyes. His lips slowly formed into a smirk. "How's the soup?”

Isabel felt her cheeks growing hot.

He was messing with her. He only pretended to drink the soup so that she would kiss him!

She made a show of being angry at him and cried out, "Fine, I'll drink it myselft"

She snatched the soup away from him and proceeded to drink a large mouthful.

Before she could successfully swallow the soup, Roland suddenly grabbed her and pulled her in toward him.

Once again, his eyes magnified in front of Isabel's. They were so close that she could feel his breath on her cheeks.

His lips smushed hers. Her lips were parted open, and Roland effortlessly siphoned all of the soup inside her mouth into his

Her eyes grew wide open in shock.

He... he could have said something before he...

Roland promptly drew away again after that. He looked at Isabel with his eyes glowing with satisfaction. He licked his lips and commented, "Tastes pretty good.”

Isabel was speechless for a moment. Her heart was beating wildly, and she could feel the temperature of her blood rising.

He got her good!

No, she could not let herself get enchanted by him so easily. She had to take back control!

She sprang forward and threw her arms around his neck.
