John ned to stay for another day for observation purposes. If he could make it through, he could be discharged

Sherry stayed by his side for the entire night.

Lisa and Carl stayed back to accompany Sherry, but she told them to go back to take a rest. They refused though

It was until Lisa received a call about an urgent matter back at the Sagers house, only then she left while Carl stayed back.

It was a quiet night in the corridor outside the ICU

Sarl stood beside Sherry and looked at her silently.

A while after Lisa left, Sherry looked at him. She said in a disheartened voice, T'm fine. You should go back and take a rest

The silence lasted through the night.

The next morning, while Carl was away buying breakfast, a doctor and a nurse entered the ICU to check on John

A while later, the door opened and the doctor came out with a heavy expression.

Sherry immediately asked, “Doctor, how is he?”

The doctor said heavily, “He should be waking up by now, but there are no signs of it.”

Sherry’s heart skipped a beat.

The doctor looked at her “Are you the patient's wife?”

“Yes, I am.”

"You can go in to accompany him. He'll need all the encouragement he can get. Maybe a miracle will happen.”

“Okay. Thank you, Doctor.”

The doctor then left with the nurse.

Sherry changed into a visiting gown and went in.

The ICU was quiet, and only the whirring of machines could be heard The man on the bed looked pale

and weak Hise es remained closed despite her entry to the room

Sherry sat down beside him and called his name “John.”

Silence was the answer she got. He could not listen to a word she said as if he was dead

Sherry’s heart sank further She choked on her emotions for a bit before she said, “Caprice is waiting for us at home. Wake up. Open your eyes if you want to see her again.”

John remained unconscious, and his face remained pale.

Sherry snorted. “You jerk! I won't feel guilty because you took the stab for me. You almost got me killed a few times in the past!”

John remained still.

Sherry pursed her lips. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She reached out and held his hand tightly. She whimpered as she said, “I'll forgive you! If you wake up, I'll forgive you! I'll forget what you did to me in the past’ I'll stay with you and Caprice and we can live together as a family. Please?”

"Okay"
