Ron was a sly man, and Anne had the support of Madam Sager and the other old folks at home. Lisa had done a lot to reach her current position while bringing Carl up. It had not been her. It was not easy to kick Ron out of the company.

Carl went silent for a moment and said, “I know, but he’s cunning and we don't have anything on him.”

John chuckled. “Then, let him give you something to hold against him.”

Carl narrowed his eyes.

John leaned against the car with his arms crossed. He continued, “Ron Wright has a property in the suburbs, where there are a woman and a pair of twins. The woman was his secretary from five years ago.”

Carl was shocked. It took him several seconds to recover and say, “How do you know about this?" John curled his lips. “I have my ways.”

Carl remained shocked. He knew Ron was a playboy as well. Anne had caught him a few times fooling around, and he had been obedient ever since. He never showed any flaws in the open as well.

Who would have thought that Ron would have a pair of twins with his ex-secretary?

It was much bigger than simply having an affair outside.

Carl took a while to calm down. He looked at John and asked, “Why are you investigating him? And why are you telling me this?”

“Because he’s trying to target Sherry, and because Sherry wants to help you to take over the company. Other than getting a divorce, I will help her to achieve anything,” John said.

Carl pursed his lips with a complicated look.

John smiled. “It's getting late. Why don't you go back and rest, Young Master Carl? I've arranged for bodyguards to look after her. Ron Wright and his men won't come near her.”

He then walked away from the apartment, leaving Carl petrified by the road.

Carl's mind was replaying the words he heard from John. His brows furrowed. He believed his love for Sheri aled that of John's feelings for her, but he felt challenged.

John had only come to Coastrock for a few days, and he already found out that Ron had a secret mistress and a pair of twins.

Meanwhile, Carl had been living in Coastrock all his life and always had close contact with Ron, yet he did not notice any clues.

Coastrock was blessed with sunny days two days ago, but it started to turn cloudy today.

After a whole day of dark and gloomy weather, it finally rained at night. The rain lasted until the next day, and the sky was still full of dark clouds. The odds of it raining again were high.

She looked excited.

Sherry got curious. She asked, “What is it?”

“Just follow me. You'll know soon.”

“Where?”

“To the suburbs.”

“Why?”

Sherry instantly felt reluctant since Caprice was waiting for her at home.

Lisa immediately said, “It's about Ron.”

Ron? Ron Wright?

Sherry’s eyes shimmered. “Alright. Let's go.”
