Sherry rolled her eyes at him. She walked around him and continued heading to her car.

Right after she opened the car door, Carl's towering figure blocked her again.

Bang.

He shut the door with a bang and moved closer to her face.

Sherry instinctively retreated, but Carl caught her by the wrist. She furrowed her brows.” Carl, what are you doing?”

Carl curled his lips. His dreamy eyes shimmered enchantingly. “I'm trying to tell you, but you won't let me, so don't think of leaving me today.”

Sherry pursed her lips. “What is it?”

Carl said, “I went to three places and did what you assigned to me last week. Other than that, I've also closed two major deals for the company.”

Sherry was intrigued. “Which two major deals?”

“Heiner Development in Suntory City's new district development and the restructuring of the old district.”

Sherry’s eyes gleamed. “You really closed the deal?”

Carl curled his lips. “I've brought the contract with me. What do you think?”

Sherry smiled. “Well done.”

Carl did well this time.

There were multiple companies bidding for the projects, and Sherry had been planning for a month now to win the tender. Due to the recent workload, she ran out of ideas and had been stuck in a bottleneck for a while now. She did not expect Carl to close the deal by

himself.

It seemed like Carl was more capable than she thought. If only he could keep this up

without her around...

Then, Carl's charming face moved closer to her. “Sis, I've got us two major deals, and that's all you got to say?”

Sherry was speechless. A moment later, she said, “Keep up the good work. If you can keep this up, you will be able to take over the company soon.”

The veteran shareholders of the company disagreed with Carl taking over the company. While Ada played a crucial role in their decisions, they also disagreed because Carl had been a playboy before this, and none of them believed he had what it took to run a

company.

Carl pouted. “I don't want that.”

“Then, what do you want?”

He smiled bewitchingly. “I want you to kiss-"

Sherry curled her fist in front of his face.

Carl immediately changed his words. “Fine, I want you to have dinner with me to celebrate my little achievement.” He then released her wrist and stood by her side like an obedient

puppy.

Sherry glanced at her watch. It was 1 p.m., and she already had lunch with Lisa and her friends before Carl arrived. It was four to five hours too early for dinner, and she wanted to go back to Caprice at night.

Some thoughts later, she said, “Fine. Let's go have lunch instead.”

Carl was stunned. “Didn“t you just have lunch with my mom and her friends?”

Sherry explained indifferently, “I ate, but I'm not full.”

Carl was rendered speechless by her explanation. “Okay. Let's go for lunch then.”

Then, he patted Sherry’s head by surprise and said, “Hold on. I'll go make the reservation.”

Before Sherry could react, he stepped away and made a phone call. She could not hear him, but he came back after a while.

He said with a smile, “I got the reservation. Come on, I'll drive you there.”

Sherry gave him the car keys and got into the passenger seat instead.

Carl got into the driver's seat and started the car. They then drove towards the suburbs.

At the first traffic light, the car stopped before the red light.

Carl voiced his dissatisfaction by saying, “Sis, your car is tiny, and the seats aren't comfortable. The specs are terrible.”

Sherry simply disregarded him.

Carl turned to her. “I'll buy you a new limited edition BJD sports car. It's pink, and there're only ten in the whole wide world.”

He even winked at her at the end.

Sherry replied indifferently, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
