All she had for him was resentment. She never wanted to see him again, and she never wanted anything to do with him.

The refreshing sea breeze blew towards her face.

Sherry took a deep breath before she replied to Sylvia, “I got it. Thanks, Syl.”

Since Madam Stockton had woken up, she could simply release the guilt that had been tormenting her and live a peaceful life.

A month passed by in the blink of an eye.

It was a weekday in Westchester.

After Sylvia sent her kids and Odell to school and to work respectively, she took Madam Carter out for a stroll in the park and then attended an art exhibition.

She only came home when it was dark.

As soon as she entered the living room, she saw Odell and John drinking tea by the tea table. Isabel and Flint were playing video games while Caprice was playing with a Rubik's cube beside Liam. Sylvia had already gotten used to the harmonious scene.

In the past month, John would spend time with Caprice at their home other than bringing her out during the day.

Sylvia walked in.

Flint bolted up and ran to her as soon as he was aware of her entry. He waved the handheld video game console at her and said, “Mommy, Uncle John bought us new video games!”

The handheld video game console looked modern and beautiful.

Sylvia looked at John. “You shouldn't have, Master Stockton.”

John smiled. “Mrs. Carter, you are too kind. I'm their Uncle John. Of course, I'll spoil them with presents.”

Sylvia was left speechless and her lips twitched a little.

John sounded like he was talking to family, but Sylvia ignored him. She patted Flint's head before she headed to Madam Carter's room. She had been out for the whole day, so she wanted to check on Madam Carter first.

“Mrs. Carter, I wonder if you have any good news today.” John's voice suddenly entered her ears once more.

Sylvia turned around to the man and said, “No.”

She had texted Sherry a few times in the past month, but even she did not know where Sherry was. While John pursed his lips, Sylvia went straight to Madam Carter's room.

As always, Sylvia watched the kids play in the children’s room after dinner before she went back to her room.

Odell was doing some work in the study.

Sylvia went ahead to wash up before she sat on the bed to check on the messages she got from the art association group. The group was talking about the art exhibition.

While she was going through the messages, hurried footsteps arrived at her door. She looked toward the door and saw Odell coming in with a smile and his phone in his hand.

Sylvia's eyes gleamed. She asked, “Why are you looking at me like that? Any good news?”

“I do have some good news for you. It's about Sherry,” he said as he sat down beside her.

Sylvia immediately asked, “Sherry? How is she?”

He leaned his handsome face closer to her and said, “Kiss me and I'll tell you.”

Sylvia glared at him but she still kissed him on the lips quickly.

He widened his smile. “I just got news saying that Sherry is in Coastrock City and that she attended a major event on behalf of the Sagers.”

He then tapped on his phone and showed her the picture he received.

The picture was a group photo with Sherry standing in the center. She wore a long-sleeved evening gown and was smiling elegantly at the camera.
