Chapter 17 

At that moment, Grace came out of the bathroom. “Audrey, can you…” 

Halfway through her sentence, Grace saw Amelia sitting in front of the piano that Audrey normally sat in front of. She quickly walked over and said politely, “Miss, this. isn’t the tryout piano. The tryout piano is over there.” 

“They’re all pianos. What’s the difference?” 

Grace explained, “This piano is specially provided for our pianist…” 

“Haha, are you talking about Audrey? She’s your pianist? That’s hilarious!”

This piece of music wasn’t something that someone at her level could play. 

One would at least need to be a grade–eight or -nine pianist to be able to play this piece of music. 

Amelia didn’t even know which hand to place on the keys first or which finger should press which key. 

“What is it? Do you need time to prepare?” Audrey stood in front of the piano with a smile on her face. “Do you want a round of applause from me?” 

With that said, Audrey clapped her hands seriously. 

Amelia felt like Audrey’s claps were like slaps landing on her face. 

Grace almost burst out laughing. 

She tried her best not to laugh and clapped her hands like Audrey. “Don’t be nervous, Miss. You can do it.” 

The two girls that came with Amelia also clapped and cheered for Amelia. “Amelia, play a song for them. Let them see what a real pianist is like.” 

“That’s right. Let them see what a real pro is like.”

Tyler furrowed his brows and then turned to look at the corporate partner. “I’m sorry. Something urgent has just come up. I need to go and take care of it. The project can. carry on according to your will.” 

The corporate partner was a little stunned. He had thought of a dozen different ways to convince Tyler, but he seemed to have gotten what he wanted before he could use any 

of them. 

Tyler stood up and reached out his hand politely. “I hope we have a pleasant. cooperation.” 

The corporate partner was in a daze for a few seconds before reaching out to shake Tyler’s hand. “Same here.” 

The corporate partner was afraid that Tyler would regret his decision, so he quickly picked up his pen and signed the contract after he finished shaking hands with Tyler. “Then I won’t disturb Mr. Russell anymore. Let me treat you to a meal sometime.” 

Tyler nodded. “No problem. David, see our guest out.”

David nodded and accompanied the corporate partner to the elevator. 

When the corporate partner had left, David returned to the office. “Mr. Russell…” 

“Go start the car.” Tyler interrupted David, bent down, and signed the contract on the table after scanning through it. 

David nodded and left. 

The girl who was closest to Amelia saw that Amelia didn’t look so good, so she asked quietly, “Amelia, do you not feel well?” 

Amelia really wanted to seal their mouths shut. If it weren’t for them, she wouldn’t have been in such a difficult position. 

However, the girl’s words gave Amelia an excuse to not play the piano. 

She was just about to say something, but Audrey had beaten her to it. “You’re a grade- nine pianist. This song is what a pianist must learn when they first reach grade nine. If you don’t feel well, then just play the prelude.”
