Audrey said in a cold voice, “Otherwise, I’ll take everything that Amelia likes in the future. I won’t let her have anything, even if it’s something that I don’t want.” 

With that said, she loosened her grip. “Especially the chance of marrying into the Russell family, I won’t let her have that either.” 

Joseph didn’t expect Audrey to dare to talk to him like that. He was infuriated. immediately. He raised his hand and was about to hit Audrey again. 

“That’s enough!” Barbara shouted. 

In the end, Joseph didn’t swing his hand toward Audrey, but he pointed at Audrey and said, “I’m warning you. Only Amelia is worthy of marrying into an affluent family like the Russell family. You’re not worthy at all.”

Joseph wouldn’t hit Barbara back no matter what. He glared at Audrey. “Let me tell you this. The Griffin family only has one daughter, and that’s Amelia.” 

After saying those words, Joseph left angrily. 

Emma sighed. “Look at how angry your dad is. I tried to be nice to you last night. I’m doing this for your own good. Since you don’t like it, then let Amelia…” 

“You should get lost as well.” Barbara interrupted Emma. “Do you think you’re Mr. Nice. Guy now?” 

Emma’s face changed when she heard those words. “You old fool. If it weren’t for me who convinced Joseph to let you live, you would have died long ago.”

“What kind of nonsense is that?” Audrey passed a piece of cake to Barbara. “Here, have something to eat.” 

“I don’t have the appetite.” Barbara waved her hand. “I heard those two bastards say that you lost your job.” 

“I’ve gotten tired of my previous job, but I’ve found another. It’s quite a good job.” A smile appeared on Audrey’s face when she thought of the job at the piano store. “It’s a job of playing the piano.”
