Chapter 67 

Being despised by his grandmother. Quintin’s face darkened. 

Jennifer advised, “Caroline, hurry up and do as she says! My grandma is waiting!” 

It was not difficult for Caroline to change her words. She called out affectionately, “Grandma.” 

“Good, good, good!” 

Catherine finally heard the address she wanted, and her mood instantly improved. “All of you can go back. Don’t just stand here. Michael and Jennifer will take care of me. It’s fine.” 

Catherine hoped that young people like them could go back and spend more time together. She didn’t want them to stay there and waste their time when they could be dating. 

Jennifer sent them outside before telling them the contents of the report. “Grandma’s liver is not looking good. She might need treatment.” 

Quintin took a deep breath. He knew that his grandmother had been angered by Faith a lot in the past. Perhaps it was because she had been depressed for a long time that her liver was affected. 

“Then hurry up and arrange for treatment. We can’t ignore any illnesses, no matter how minor,” Caroline said. 

“Yes, I’ve already spoken to the doctor. I’ll arrange it first thing tomorrow. You guys can go back first!” 

Caroline sent Quintin out of the hospital. Flynn was waiting outside the RV. When Quintin was sent into the car, Flynn followed, but Caroline did not get on. 

Quintin sensed that she did not board the RV and asked. “Why aren’t you coming up?” 

“I’m not going back now. You can go back first! I have to go to the airport later.” 

Caroline closed the door and sent the driver driving. 

As the RV drove off, Quintin’s brows were tightly furrowed. He knew that Caroline must have stayed behind to wait for John. 

After driving for a few minutes, Quintin stopped. “Stop the car! Stop the car now!” 

“What’s wrong, Mr. Ziegler?” 

“Flynn, follow her and see what she’s going to do later.” 

Flynn understood that Quintin was referring to Caroline. He could only obey and got out of the car. 

However, when Flynn opened the door and got out of the car, he happened to see a white car driving out of the hospital. The woman sitting in the front passenger seat was Caroline. 

“Mr. Ziegler, Ms. Lewis left in a white car!” 

“Follow them!” 

Quintin gave the order, and Flynn immediately instructed the driver to follow the white car. 

Along the way, Quintin’s face was as calm as water. Flynn stared at the car in front of him and did not dare to look away. 

As the sky gradually darkened, they tracked the car all the way to the airport. Flynn reported, “Mr. Ziegler, that car is parked outside the airport. I saw Ms. Lewis walking toward the airport exit with Dr. Shelton.” 

Quintin thought, “She really came to the airport? 

“What if John took her to the hotel after picking up whoever they were picking up?” As he thought, he instructed, “Continue waiting!” 

Caroline and John arrived at the airport exit together. John was holding a homemade sign in his hand. The two of them chatted as they waited. 

About half an hour later, the flight arrived. Caroline took off her sunglasses and looked at the exit. 

Almost everyone had come out, but she did not see any traces of Vivian. 

Just as Caroline was still searching for Vivian, she heard a familiar voice shout, “John!” 

Caroline and John turned around at the same time. They saw a plump girl pulling a pink suitcase and rumming over happily. 

John knew that Yvonne was chubby, but after not seeing her for a while, she seemed to have gained weight. 

Caroline could no longer recognize Vivian. In her memory, Vivian’s figure was extremely slender. It had only been a few years since she last saw her. She wondered how Vivian gained so much weight. 

She thought, “Is this still my little cutie friend, Vivian?”

John! Why are you ignoring me even though you saw me? I waved at you, but you didn’t see me! Annoying!” 

Vivian punched John’s shoulder. Then, she noticed the woman beside him and asked in surprise, “Ah, could this beauty be

future sister–in–law?”

Before John could explain, Caroline said. “Vivian, don’t you recognize me?” 

“You are…” 

Vivian stared at her, not daring to confirm her thoughts. 

John smiled and explained. “Do you not recognize your good friend, Caroline, anymore?” 

“Caroline? Caroline Lewis? Carol?” 

Vivian jumped up in surprise, and the floor trembled. When she took a closer look and confirmed that the person before her was her good friend, Caroline, she was extremely excited. 

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Are you still the Caroline Lewis I know? How did you become so good–looking?” 

Vivian grabbed Caroline’s hand and looked at her again and again. In the end, she hugged her excitedly. “You’re my Carol! Carol, you’re still alive! I didn’t expect you to be alive. You’re not dead…” 

As Vivian spoke, she started crying. She thought Caroline had been burned to death in the fire five years ago. She had been devastated for a long time..

“After you were gone, I thought life was unpredictable. It’s better to treat myself better. I decided I should eat more while I’m 

still alive.

Caroline had stayed overseas for so long. She should have contacted Vivian earlier and not made her worry.

As soon as their car left, the Ziegler family’s RV followed from the side. Flynn reported, “They picked up a chubby girl, and the three left together. Mr. Ziegler, do you still want to follow behind?” 

“What do you think?” 

Flynn understood and told the driver to catch up quickly. 

John wanted to welcome Yvonne and also treat Caroline to a meal. He brought them to a more famous restaurant. 

They went in for dinner while the RV waited in the shadows outside the restaurant. 

Flynn glanced at the dark–faced man and asked carefully, “Mr. Ziegler, do you want to go in for dinner too?” 

“No!” 

He was not in the mood to eat at all. His mind was filled with images of Caroline and John together. The more he thought about it, the more he overthought. 

John, Vivian, and Caroline entered the private room and sat down. Vivian said, “John, order first. Carol and I want to go to the washroom!” 

Vivian pulled Caroline out of the private room. Coincidentally, Caroline inadvertently glanced up and saw an uninvited guest in the restaurant. 

When she saw the other party, Caroline narrowed her cold eyes slightly. There was a hint of ruthlessness in her eyes 

She thought, “Enemies were really bound to meet on a narrow road!”
