Mayson thought. “We’ve to choose someone good for Mommy this time. This Daddy looks bad–tempered. He must be at bad man. Maybe he’s the one who left Mommy and my brothers behind” At that thought, Mason had a bad first. impression of Quintin. 

He thought, “Daddy is a scumbag. A man like that is unworthy of my Mommy” 

Flynn made a cross in his heart. He really wanted to persuade Quintin to pull himself up and behave like a real man. 

He thought. This isn’t the right way to communicate with a woman! If you anger such a good wife and make her leave, you’ll drown in regret when you finally open your eyes and see clearly!” 

Sensing that Quintin was upset, Caroline did not say much either. She pulled the child away and just turned around when the man said, “Stop!” 

Caroline and her son paused. “What’s the matter now?” 

“Where did you go today?” 

“I went to the Queen residence. Didn’t you know?” 

“I know! My question is, where did you go after that? Which man did you go out to dinner with? What did you do after 

dinner?” 

Caroline sneered at his words. “You had me followed?” 

Flynn could not help but explain, “It wasn’t Mr. Ziegler. It was Ms. Xydias who saw it.” 

“Savannah Xydias? That woman saw me having dinner with someone else and went to snitch on me.” 

Caroline thought. That disgusting woman started this shit up behind my back?” 

“Don’t change the subject! Tell me the truth! What else did you do besides dinner?” 

Quintin was still beside himself with anger. He was not going to rest until he found out the truth. 

“Fine. Since you want to know, I’ll tell you. I went on a date with another man, had food together, and after dinner we found a place to enjoy ourselves. We did everything that should be done. Are you satisfied? Do you feel happy now after hearing that?” 

When Flynn heard this, he knew Caroline was pissed off. He thought, “Oh no, it’s over! Mr. Ziegler, you’re on your own now!” 

“Caroline, have you forgotten who you are? You’re still my wife now! How dare you go behind my back and date another man, you?” 

“Shut your mouth. Quintin! It’s my business if I find another man. Who are you to tell me what to do? You’re just my husband in name. Aren’t you tired if all you think about is if I’m having an affair? Stay out of my business from now on!” Caroline snapped out an unpleasant warning and poked Quintin in the forehead before walking out with her son. 

She was genuinely tired. She was sick of being around men. 

She thought, “I better not have a man. When he gets well, I’ll leave the Ziegler family immediately and completely cut ties with him!” 

Mayson glanced over at his daddy in the wheelchair and sighed heartily, thinking, “What a scumbag. I don’t want him! There are a bunch of handsome men outside waiting in line to be my stepfather. This time, I have to help Mommy choose 

well.” 

Meanwhile, Quintin thought, “How dare she poke me on the forehead? That woman is too… 

He could not describe the feeling in his heart. It was like he was about to explode. 

He was being trodden all over by a woman! 

It was ridiculous! 

With a belly full of anger, he wanted to get up, but his legs in plaster restricted his movements. 

He thumped the bed angrily. “Call the doctor! Remove the cast!” 

“Mr. Ziegler, the doctor said your cast has to be set for four to six weeks. It’s not time yet…..” 

“I said, call the doctor! Did you not hear me?” 

Quintin’s mania was back, so it was hard to talk to him. He would not listen to anyone.

Flynn had to run out to the doctor, and soon came back with Edward. 

Edward came up to Quintin and asked, “Mr. Ziegler, you only need to keep the cast for another few days. Are you sure you 

want to have it removed now?” 

Quintin did not answer him. Instead, he grabbed Edward, pinned him down at the bedside, and gave him a fierce punch. 

“If I tell you to remove it, then remove it. Why are you saying all that bullshit? Are you really treating me like a cripple? Huh?” 

“Forgive me. Mr. Ziegler… Please let go of me… I’ll remove it for you…” 

Edward did not think that Quintin would beat him. The pain left him begging for mercy. 

“What is this shitty cast? It’s only making me uncomfortable… 

Quintin kept on hitting his punching bag. 

Furthermore, he was furious at Caroline, so he had to find a place to vent. 

He would only feel slightly better if he took it out on Edward. 

Edward was left with a badly bruised and bloody nose. 

Flynn also knew about Edward’s prescription of illegal drugs. He watched how Edward was treated like a punching bag by Quintin’s anger, and he thought, “Serves him right!” 

Edward was almost half–dead when Quintin stopped. 

When sitting on the floor, his white coat reddened by his nosebleed, he realized something. “Every time I come to see Mr. Ziegler, I’m playing with my life. This man will really kill me if his mania acts up!” 

“Hurry up and remove it!” 

At Quintin’s grim words, Edward immediately got up and helped the man to remove the plaster. 

“It’s done, Mr. Ziegler. 

Edward touched Quintin’s leg again and asked, “How does your leg feel now?” 

Quintin, who had his plaster cast removed, felt a great relief in both of his legs. He was finally able to move. When asked about how he felt, he raised his foot without comment and gave Edward a direct kick. 

Edward was caught off guard, crashed into a wall, and fell, leaving his insides smart.. 

Shit! 

Suffice to say, Quintin’s recovery was phenomenal. 

Edward wondered, “How can he move his legs so easily, and with so much strength at that? According to the medicine I prescribed, he shouldn’t be able to move.” 

He wondered if Quintin had taken his prescription in the first place. 

“Mr. Ziegler, although the cast is removed, you are not yet able to walk. You may sit in a wheelchair for a period of time and wait for your leg to fully recover before you walk. By the way, have you been taking the medicine I’ve given you every day?” 

Quintin gave a chilly snort and waved. 

Flynn pinned Edward directly to the ground, and Edward let out another scream. 

“Speak! Why did you tamper with the medicine I took?” 

Edward was alarmed. “Mr. Ziegler, I didn’t… 

“You didn’t?” 

Flynn beat him up again. 

“If you don’t tell me who the mastermind is, then your life is over!” 

With an order from Quintin, Edward’s career in medicine would be finished. 

After taking the cast off and beating Edward, Quintin’s mood calmed down. 

Then, he persuaded himself, “Forget it. It’s just a contract marriage anyway. We’ll divorce before long. I still remember that the woman I’m looking for is Macy. Only Macy is worth waiting for. 

When no outsiders were present, he braced his arms on the wheelchair and stood up. Flynn saw this and cried out,

“I want to see if I can stand up!” 

Quintin had an extraordinary rate of recovery. The average man needed a hundred days to recover from a broken bone, but he only needed a month or two. 

He was born with a special constitution. He had been shot six times in a hail of bullets and was able to recover in two months. What was a small car accident to him? 

It was his blindness that was a hindrance. 

He thought, “I can’t wait to get better and have my marriage dissolved.”
