Chapter 37 

Yvonne was slapped, leaving her with red fingerprints on her cheek. She cupped it and roared, “Caroline, how dare you slap me?” 

Caroline swung her hand, saying while acting like she didn’t give a damn, “Sorry, my hand itched just now. I can’t help it whenever there is a bitch around. Maybe I’ve hit too many bitches and got addicted to it.” 

“You…” Yvonne was about to throw a fit when she spotted Seth’s car parked in front of the building. Seeing the man step out of the car, she immediately ran toward him and cried. “Seth… Seth.” She began sobbing. 

Seth saw Yvonne crying and asked. “What’s going on? Why are you crying? What happened to your face?” 

“Somebody slapped me!” Tears poured down Yvonne’s checks. 

“Who has the audacity to slap you? Does she have a death wish or something?” 

“She’s the one who slaps me!” Yvonne pointed at Caroline. Seth could only see a figure from behind and didn’t recognize the person. He put his arm around Yvonne and yelled, “Who the hell are you? How dare you bully my girlfriend? You want trouble 

When Caroline turned around. Seth was taken aback. “Caroline, it’s you?” 

Seth was shocked and angry when he saw Caroline. He had heard from Yvonne that the woman was behind everything that happened at the birthday party. 

And that day, Seth got framed up miserably and almost died. 

One could imagine how angry he was just by looking at the culprit now! 

“Caroline! Why did you do that the other day? Why did you frame me up?” 

Hearing the man hoot, Caroline curled her lips and said, “Which day are you talking about, Mr. Gomez? What did I do to you?” 

“Have you forgotten? Virtuous Hotel…” Seth was ashamed to mention what had happened to him. 

“Oh, the news reported that there was a pipe burst in the toilet of the Virtuous Hotel that day. Mr. Gomez, you struggled with the filth for 12 hours and were sent to the hospital later, right?” When Caroline finished speaking, she flicked her fingers between her mouth and nose as if she smelled a stink on Seth’s body. 

Seth poured scorn and thought he still had the smell on him. “Fine, forget it! Tell me, why did you bully Yvonne? Why did you slap her?” 

“I’m going back to Lewis Group, and she won’t let me in!” Caroline explained the reason. 

Seth snorted coldly. “Do you think you are allowed to get inside Lewis Group now? The mess you created out there still hasn’t been cleaned up. You are thinking of seeking refuge at Lewis Group, am I right? Mr. Lewis has said that you are on your own now. You should take care of your own problems, and don’t expect the Lewis residence to help you.” 

“I don’t need the Lewis residence to take care of it for me, and I don’t want to hear you barking here either! Lewis Group was once known as Thompson Group. I can get in if I want to, and no one can stop me!” Caroline had nothing but hatred for Seth. She would not have let him cheat her out of her shares of Thompson Group if it wasn’t for his sweet words. 

When Caroline’s mother needed money for medical treatment, he immediately kicked her off. That shameless couple even teamed up and tried to take Caroline’s life away. 

She hadn’t started her plans to get even with them yet. 

“Move!” Caroline was already fuming. Riley immediately stepped in to push Seth and others away. He and the bodyguards helped to create a pathway for Caroline, so she could walk through. 

Caroline strode. over to the office. Yvonne saw her walking away and said anxiously, “Seth, what should we do now? She must be here to sabotage the event! I cannot let her spoil the signing ceremony! Hurry up, and get somebody to stop her!” 

“Call Mr. Lewis, and tell him to get prepared. The rest may take your positions, and get ready to welcome the important guest!” Seth said while pulling out his phone to make the call. 

The news of Caroline’s arrival was like a storm. It was as if she had become a hardened terrorist. 

When Harry heard Seth’s report, he instantly had a bad feeling about it and called for his assistant. He ordered, “Call security! Tell them to send more men! I want them to stop Caroline! Don’t let her screw up the event!” 

Harry’s cries filled the chairman’s office. 

Harry’s office door had been smashed before the security department could mobilize any men. 

His assistant, to be exact, was kicked and got knocked out of the door. He fell to the ground like a sack. 

Harry was so shocked upon seeing that scene, and his phone fell on his desk. 

Chapter 37 

Then, he watched Caroline walk inside with her hands stuffed in her pockets. She was dressed in black, exuding an intimidating aura. 

It did not seem like she was there to visit him. It somewhat looked like she was there to claim his life! 

“Caroline…” Harry gulped and said. “What are you doing here? Is it necessary to make such a big scene when you come to the company?” 

“It’s just that you made such a special welcoming ceremony by asking the security guards of the whole company to stop me from entering. It used to be Thompson Group in the past, right? You can’t even allow me to return to my granddad’s company. You guys are so heartless!” 

“The Lewis residence hold their guard against me for fear that I’ll come back and take Thompson Group back! These people are so despicable!” she sneered inwardly. 

Harry was fully aware of her bad temper. It was all over the news, and she disregarded everything when she beat someone

Harry wanted to stop hier from making a scene in the company, so he offered, “We can talk nicely, Caroline! This is Lewis Group now. Although it was formerly known as Thompson Group, it no longer exists. If you want to come to the company, you should at least let me know in advance. If you want to come to work, you should give me some time, and I will make arrangements for you.” 

Harry was really good at running his lips. Caroline sat down on a couch and said, “Well, I’d love to hear it, Chairman. What position can you put me in?” 

Harry replied when he realized it wasn’t easy to make Caroline leave, “You don’t have any academic certificates since you didn’t finish your college. If I try to put you in a higher position, it may be unfair to others. Besides, aren’t you married to the Ziegler family now? How could they let you work?” 

“That’s the problem, Dad. As you know, I am married to the Ziegler family to bring them good fortune. But I didn’t know how long I could stay there. If they evicted me, I would have to find a way out of it, right?” 

All Caroline wanted to know was how far his father would go in fobbing her off. 

Harry seemed very embarrassed. “But, you made yourself the headline again these past two days. I’m afraid it may not. bring good influence by letting you join the company at this time.” 

“Am I a bad influence? Since you’re afraid that I will disgrace the Lewis residence, help me!” 

Harry finally knew why she was there. Trying to get a job was only her excuse. Her real intention was to seek support. 

“I can’t help you. I have been asking around. You have offended the Queen residence in Jipsdale, who was working for the government. Offending them means having no way out. I really can’t help you. You have to apologize to them in person!” 

So that was her father! 

A father who would cut ties with her instead of defending her whenever she was in trouble. 

There was no one like him in the world. He was simply a scum that was worse than an animal. 

Caroline wasn’t so easy to be dismissed. “Fine, since you can’t help me with this, forget it. Let’s talk about work! What are you going to do about me?”
