Quintin became very embarrassed and tried to stop her. “Don’t touch me…”

Now you’re acting like a shy boy? Which part of your body have 1 not touched yet?”

Pushing his hands away, Caroline directly tugged off his belt. However, she was stupified in the next second and didn’t know how to react.

As expected, the atmosphere became painfully awkward. Quintin became irritated and thundered at the woman, “I already told you to stop!”

Caroline regained her senses in time, suppressing the panic in her heart. She knew that as long as she didn’t feel embarrassed, the other party would be the one feeling that way.

“Stop what? What do you think I’m going to do to you?”

By this time, Caroline had already adjusted her state of mind. With a corner of her lips lifted, she deliberately teased him, “However, tonight is considered our wedding night. Since you have no problem in that aspect, why don’t we?”

She continued, “To put it bluntly, the number of men chasing after me is more than you can imagine. Also, I prefer a dashing young man to an old guy like you!”

“What did she say about me? An old guy who is not up to her standard?” Quintin fumed inwardly.

Upon hearing Caroline’s comment, he exploded with rage and shouted, “D n you, get out of my sight!”

However, Caroline didn’t listen to him and even pinned him down on the bed. She found his tie and used it to bind his wrists together. She then managed to wipe his body clean.

Quintin was on the verge of breaking down during the entire process. However, he couldn’t move both of his legs. On top of that, Caroline had fastened his hands together.

He was seized with terror.

“Could it be an excuse that she says she doesn’t like me, and she’s actually trying to force herself on me? I’ll never accept other women besides Macy!” Quintin exclaimed internally.

Caroline helped him to change the bottom half of his clothing. Although she had difficulty removing and helping him put on the leg cast, she eventually completed the task.

After covering him with the blanket, she unfastened the tie on Quintin’s wrist. Once his hands got freed, he wanted to grab her. “You wretched woman!”

“Why are you still so fierce to me even after I’d helped you clean your body? Don’t you feel more comfortable now?”

Caroline dodged nimbly. She picked up the basin and walked away, leaving Quintin, who was throwing a tantrum on the bed, alone.

Nonetheless, after having his body wiped clean and having changed into a new set of new clothing, the sticky feeling on his body and the unbearable scent had vanished. He indeed felt more comfortable now.

Soon later, Caroline returned with a cup and a toothbrush and picked up the basin. “Quintin, it’s time to brush your teeth!”

“Tll do it myself!” Quintin propped himself up and started brushing.

Caroline continued, “You also need to s your beard.”

“I can do that myself!”

Caroline didn’t allow him to have his way this time. “You can’t even see a thing. What if you accidentally cut yourself? I’ll do it for you!”

The stern-looking Quintin remained seated without raising any objection. Caroline applied the s g foam around his chin and started s ng his beard for him.

She was very gentle and agile with her movements, and it didn’t take her long to finish the job sor him.

Caroline felt like she had created a masterpiece after cleaning Quintin’s face. She expressed her satisfaction, saying, “Not bad! You look more like a human now.”

Quintin was rendered speechless and gasped in astonishment.

Listening to her endless fiddling, Quintin asked, “What are you up to now?”

“I got the housekeepers to place an extra bed here for me to sleep in tonight,” Caroline explained.

“Who permitted you to sleep here? You’re not allowed to stay in the master bedroom! Go to another room instead!” Quintin

Caroline glanced at him and walked out of the bedroom without saying anything.

Hearing the woman’s footsteps fading away, Quintin heaved a heavy sigh. He wouldn’t allow her to stay in his room, as he didn’t want her to disturb him.

However, he could only relax for barely a minute before hearing Caroline’s footsteps again.

Quintin heard her walk into the room, and the latter had even closed the door. Noticing her footsteps approaching him, he exclaimed, “Why do you come back again?”

“I have brought Leo with me. Both of us will sleep here tonight with you. You can call me anytime if you need something. It’s more convenient this way.”

When one were to lose their sight, their remaining body senses would become more sensitive. Quinton listened to how Caroline swaggered into his room and placed the child on the small bed.

“Leo, be good and lie down. I’ll read you a story, okay?”

After finding two picture books, Caroline sat beside her son and was ready to read them to him.

Quintin felt slightly doubtful since his son didn’t speak. “Is Leo seriously here?”

“Maybe she’s using my son as an excuse to stay here,” he thought.

“Of course! He’s right beside me.” After that, Caroline spoke to Leon. “Since your daddy doesn’t believe you’re here, why don’t you try to convince him?”

Having heard that, Leon quickly ran to his father and smacked the latter’s forehead with his tiny hands.

“Fine. I’ll believe it this time!” Quintin admitted secretly.

When his son was up to mischief, the boy liked to use his hands to smack his forehead. Therefore, he was sure that it was

Caroline then began to tell the story. “Long ago, inside a forest…”

Her voice was melodious. It was like a gentle stream of a river that flowed into the deep recesses of one’s heart.

As this was Leon’s first time hearing his mother read a story to him, he felt that her voice was the most pleasant sound in the

world.

However, to Quintin, her voice was so sensual and alluring that it could cause someone’s heart to flutter and cause the person to lose his mind.

After reading the picture books, Leon was already soundly asleep. Gazing at her son’s adorable face, she couldn’t resist kissing him.

Later, Caroline received a text message from Mayson, who asked her when she would return home. She decided to reply with a voice message, “Baby, I’ll be back in two days. I miss you, too. Go to bed early!”

“How indecent can this woman get, flirting with an unknown young hunk!” Quintin couldn’t help but scoff in his heart after hearing how Caroline addressed the other party over the voice message.

Not long after she had turned off the lights, Caroline went to bed and fell asleep, leaving the sleepless Quintin all by himself.

It was a restless night for him.

He wasn’t used to sharing the same room with anyone, but now there was suddenly an adult and a child in his room. It had. made him feel uneasy.
