to a wealthy man. He could then live in luxury for the rest of his life after

had been left behind in the room.

He could hear every beat of his heart which sounded like a drum. After

looking left and right multiple times to ensure everyone had entered the

banquet hall and no one was around, he went inside the room while avoiding

Jamison was frozen to the spot before he brightened up as if he was already

imagining his life filled with riches. He could have the best time of his life with

He stuffed the necklace into his pocket without a second thought and

sneaked quickly out of the room. His heart was still racing when he hid inside

the bathroom.

After eventually calming down, he pretended to look relaxed so he could

leave the venue. He was a relative of the bride anyway, so no one would ever

notice him!

As he walked along the corridor after leaving the bathroom, he didn’t expect

to bump into Roselynn, who had been styled and was about to head into the

banquet hall according to the arrangements made by the hotel staff. Since 

the wedding schedule had been planned by the Oatleys, the bridesmaids

and her relatives were already waiting for the ceremony to begin inside the

hall while enjoying the banquet.

“Jamison? What are you doing creeping around here?” She couldn’t help

frowning at the sight of her cousin as if she had seen a giant rat.

“I–I wasn’t creeping around. You’re-” 

He was about to retort that she was the one creeping around before

recalling that she was the bride, so he couldn’t possibly say that. However, he

then noticed that she was also wearing a golden jade phoenix around her

neck.

“Hmph! You’d better behave well today!” She was too occupied to pay him

any mind and prepared to enter the venue for the ceremony.

Her scornful look wounded his fragile psyche. Recalling that he had just

stolen a necklace worth 30 million, he realized he could just find a scapegoat

so no one could suspect him. He probably didn’t even have to escape at all!

He then shouted in panic, “Someone come here at once! There’s a thief!

Catch the thief!” 

She frowned and turned to glare at him coldly. What’s with him again? Is this

his revenge? By destroying my wedding on purpose?
