Feet churning
he appears serene
But a shadow looms
rising from the depths
The whirlpool beckons
Escape or
Death?
From below or beside
He chooses life
He skirts the eddies
The alligator rolls
Caught
And the duckling
peeps
Mother quacks calling her son
Peace
Tranquility
Returns
