Chapter 1525

Through her screen, Hannah could feel the burning love Jeremy held for Cornelia.

Undoubtedly, Cornelia was blessed. And of course, she was incredibly accomplished. Everything she now possessed was the result of her own hard work, and she deserved it all.

And Hannah?

Thinking of herself, Hannah shook her head and chuckled. Both her career and love life were in shambles.

Oh well, forget about that. Hannah continued watching the livestream.

It had been several months since she had seen Jeremy since leaving Harbor City. Months later, this man seemed more appealing than ever. His matured charm and his elegance in every gesture was truly captivating.

But what caught Hannah’s eyes the most was little Hope in Jeremy’s arms. Even though she often video-chatted with Cornelia to see the little munchkin, it wasn’t the same as being able to touch and hold him. Every time she saw Cornelia cradling Hope and showering him with kisses, she felt envious.e2

Hope was growing quickly, changing every day, and becoming more adorable. Hannah kinda wanted to steal him away and raise him herself. She secretly decided that after Christmas, she would fly to Riverton to cuddle this little bundle of joy.

“Hannah.” Farley walked in, holding his phone, “This is your friend Cornelia, right?”

Hannah said, “Yeah, what about it?”

Farley said, “Is that guy Jeremy really her husband? And the beautiful Hope, is that her son?”

Hannah asked, “What else would they be?”

Hearing this, Farley seemed disheartened, “I thought she was divorced and hadn’t remarried.”

Hannah said, “Cornelia was never divorced. But whether she was or not, why does it upset you?”

Suddenly, Farley’s eyes welled up, “I like her. I had planned on marrying her when I grew up.”

Hannah couldn’t help but laugh at his pitiful, aggrieved expression, “Look at her husband, do you really think you stand a chance?”

That was exactly why he was upset. Looking at the handsome face on the phone screen and realizing he stood no chance, Farley let out a loud wail. His sobs were so load they startled Jeo and Pandora downstairs.

Pandora called out from the bottom of the stairs, “What are you two up to?”

Hannah was doubled over with laughter, “Our Farley is heartbroken, ha-ha.”

Heartbroken! His beloved sister was not only unsympathetic but also mocking him. Feeling even more hurt, Farley’s sobs grew louder, almost shaking the roof.

Downstairs, Pandora shook her head and sighed, “When he was little, he was often bullied to tears by his sister. And now as a grown-up, he’s still being teased to tears. Can’t the men in the Ableson family show a bit more backbone?”

Jeo replied, “As long as he finds a capable wife like I did, he’ll be fine.”

Pandora glared at him, “Don’t think you can appease me with words like that. Men need to be the head of the household, or they’ll be taken advantage of.”

A few months ago, the usually timid and weak Jeo had stood up against the local bullies. Since then, no one dared to bully their family anymore, and no one dared

to badmouth Hannah. People in the village became very friendly towards their family. So sometimes acting out could deter people from messing with them.

Jeo said, “Our Farley is clever, and he’ll definitely be successful and responsible in the future. Don’t worry.”

Farley’s aggrieved cries again reached their ears.

Pandora sighed, “Did you hear that.”

Jeo said, “Let’s send them to the market to buy some fish, so they won’t bother us.”

Pandora said, “Good idea!”

And so, in the middle of winter, the Ableson siblings were sent by their parents to buy fish in the market.
