Cornelia would never dare to dream that Marcus could teach her things she didn’t understand 

Tahlia said, “Yeah, President Hartley taught me a lot. But don’t overthink it, it’s not because of me that he taught, it’s because of you. I got into the Hartley Group because of you, and I got promoted to the President’s assistant because of you” 

Cornelia laughed and said, “I won’t overthink, just focus on your work with President Hartley. Show everyone your capabilities.” 

“Sure.” Tahlia said 

“You should take a rest now I should go back to my room as well. Cornelia said 

As Comelia was about to leave, Tahlia held her back, “Nelly” 

“Just spit it out if you have anything to say, no need to beat around the bush.” Cornelia said. 

“Nothing. I just want to hug you again and say goodnight!” Tahlia said 

Cornelia hugged her, “Goodnight 

“Goodnight!” Tahlia said. 

After leaving Tahlia’s room, Cornelia went straight back to the master bedroom on the third floor. 

She pushed open the door, and Marcus had just come out of the shower. His hair still dripping wet, looking incredibly sexy. But, Comelia didn’t have time for that, she quickly grabbed a towel and said, “Let me dry your hair.” 

Marcus didn’t refuse, and he sat down on a single sofa next to him, making it easier for Cornelia, who was shorter, to dry his hair. 

Cornelia gently dried his hair and commented, “Your hair is so thick and dense.” 

Marcus closed his eyes, lazily leaned back on the sofa, and didn’t respond. Cornelia poked him with her finger, “Jeremy, I’m talking to you, can you hear me?” 

It took several seconds for Marcus to lazily respond, “I heard you” 

“You heard me, so why don’t you answer me?” Comelia asked. 

Marcus didn’t respond. His disregard made Cornelia angry. “Jeremy, what the hell do you mean? Do you know I’ve been putting up with you all afternoon?” 

“What?” Marcus asked 

Such a response deeply hurt Cornelia. So what she cared about, what she minded, Marcus didn’t care at all. She gave a bitter smile, “Don’t you know why I’m angry?” 

Marcus actually asked back, “Why are you angry?” 

Cornelia was so angry that she felt a pain in her chest. “You haven’t been home for several days because of work. Today you finally came back, but you completely ignored me, even didn’t glance at me. Shouldn’t I be angry?” 

“You’re angry about this? Marcus asked 

Cornelia was speechless. She had reason to suspect that Marcus, this man, was deliberately trying to drive her mad. 

Marcus said, “I’ve been very busy with work recently.” 

Cornelia said, “I know you’re very busy, when you’re busy. I try not to disturb you. But when you’re done, can you give me a call, or talk to me more?” 

Marcus grabbed her hand, gently pushed it away, “I’ve been busy these days, haven’t had a good rest. I’m very sleepy now, gonna go to bed”
