Chapter 47 

After the two bantered back and forth for a while, their relationship naturally became much closer. 

Seeing that it was almost time, Troy handed a thick file folder to Nydia. “I hope this is a great start. I’m looking forward to us working together.” 

Finishing, he reached out his big hand. 

Nydia paused for a second but quickly reached out her hand to shake his with a bright and confident smile. “Thanks for your appreciation, Mr. Miles.” 

This is just the beginning, for real.” Troy raised his eyebrows mysteriously. 

Nydia smiled brightly. “I’ll surely charge you next time.” 

“Four times higher than the market price, what do you think?” replied Troy. 

“I’ll see,” Nydia joked. 

After Nydia finished packing her luggage at the hotel, she went downstairs. Stuart walked up 

and took the luggage, putting it in the trunk. 

She thought it was just the two of them, but when she sat down, she saw Cade.. 

He was leaning back in his chair, taking a little break. His eyes were closed tight, and his long legs were crossed up. 

The sunlight shining through the window occasionally flickered on his handsome. features, every inch of his skin glowing, with long and thick eyelashes, exuding a sense. of pride.

Nydia could tell at a glance that the old man dressed head to toe in expensive attire wasn’t just an average old man. 

He bowed respectfully at the entrance of the waiting room and said, “Sir, let’s go home. Your health is not good. What should we do if you get sick again?” 

‘Oh, so it’s the kid from which family came out. Nydia looked at the black–clad bodyguards and exclaimed inwardly. With so many guards, they must value this kid very much. 

Despite that, there was not even a hint of the VIP lounge door opening. 

Seeing that Nydia’s neck stretched so long that she nearly wanted to stick her ear over to the other side, Cade sneered. “Why not have the airport livestream it for you so you don’t have to try so hard? Be careful your head might fall.” 

His words were greatly sarcastic. 

Nydia looked away and smiled back at him. “Well, that’s not bad. Mrs. Jackson’s bloody news in Mewarting City is sure to attract enough attention for the Jackson Group. You can just sit back and lose money.” 

“Still, it’s better than you lying down dead,” retorted Cade. 

Nydia noticed that Cade had been talking more, and his words had been getting more ruthless lately. This was not a good sign. 

She was starting to miss the old expressionless and quiet Cade. 

“I gotta go,” Cade said coldly before boarding first. 

Nydia followed in sullenly and heard the door over there seem to have opened.

She quickly glanced back but couldn’t see the person walking out of the door because there were too many bodyguards, only catching a glimpse of a white shirt. 

“If you don’t move now, you can stay here forever.” Cade’s impatient voice rang out. 

Nydia quickly turned around and said, “Coming right now!” 

It was already night by the time they arrived in Creekheim. 

Cade went to the company, while Nydia went straight home. 

As soon as she walked in, Dara came up and greeted her, “Mrs. Nydia, you’re back!” 

Nydia felt a little awkward for a moment. She hesitated for a few seconds before smiling and responding, “Yeah.” 

“Please go upstairs and wash up first. I’ll have the stew ready in a minute.” Dara went to take Nydia’s coat, but Nydia stopped her. “It’s fine. I’ll take care of these trivialities. myself in the future.” 

Gratefully looking at Nydia, Dara said, “That’s so nice of you, Mrs. Nydia.” 

Nydia felt a bit embarrassed being stared at by her, thinking about whether she should still leave the work to Dara. 

Because it was just the two of them at home, Nydia quickly washed up and then headed. downstairs in her nightgown. 

As soon as she came downstairs, she saw Cade sitting in the living room. 

‘How come he’s back?’ She immediately turned and went upstairs, changing nightgown.

When she was downstairs again, Cade was already sitting at the dining table. Dara placed a bowl of steaming hot soup in front of him. 

“Mr. Jackson, you’re back pretty early today.” Nydia walked over and sat across from him.

Nydia didn’t expect him to answer her questions without being sarcastic. This was the first time. He barely spoke to her in the past, let alone answer her questions.

Nydia acted all surprised and flattered. She really wasn’t used to this and even started to miss the times when she used to sit on the cold bench. 

At least the old Cade couldn’t be bothered to find trouble with her like now. 

Nydia felt like he was definitely up to no good again. 

Cade noticed her staring at him intently and toying with the fork in her hand instead of eating. He raised an eyebrow teasingly and asked, “Not hungry?” 

“Pardon?” Nydia was stunned. 

Cade didn’t answer her. Instead, he lowered his head and focused on eating his meal. 

Nydia humphed in disdain. At this time, Dara brought a bowl of beef soup in front of her, topped with turnips and big red dates floating on the surface. 

“Mrs. Nydia, this is specially made for you. Good for your body, Dara said with a smile. Nydia wrinkled her brows, asking, “Dara, are you sure I won’t gain weight after having this stuff?” 

“Oh no, don’t worry about it. You can trust me,” Nydia assured her confidently. Nydia caught a glimpse of Cade across the table, who looked like he was enjoying the show. She then turned her eyes and grabbed Dara warmly. 

“Dara, don’t just think about me. Mr. Jackson is the one who really needs it,” she said. 

Dara got it in a second, giving Cade a strange look for a few seconds. She thought, “That shouldn’t be right. Mr. Cade looks very strong. He should be very vigorous.‘ 

Cade’s face turned unnatural from Dara’s stare. 

Although Dara was afraid of Cade, she cared and loved him more than anything. So shet immediately said, “Okay, I got it, madam. I’ll also prepare a nutritious soup for Mr. Cade starting tomorrow.” 

Nydia nodded with a solemn expression, but the smile in her eyes was unconcealable. “Okay! Thank you, 

Dara.”

“I’ll go prepare a list right away,” Dara said hastily as she rushed into the kitchen. 

Nydia was trying so hard not to laugh, completely unaware that the man across from her had a sinister smile playing at the corner of his lips. 

“Do you think I’m not strong enough?” Cade wiped his mouth slowly and looked straight into the woman opposite him, who seemed to be looking for trouble, before standing up. 

Nydia was so scared that her fork fell on the table with a clatter, and her legs went weak. “I was just kidding. Don’t take it seriously.”

Questioning Cade was simply asking for death.

“Kidding?” Cade had already walked up to her with a half–smirk. “By saying that I can’t satisfy you? It seems that you haven’t been fucked by me in a long time and have forgotten the taste, Mrs. Jackson?” 

Before Nydia could react, he grabbed and carried her in his arms, striding upstairs.
