Jim had worked and sacrificed much for Bonnie-that was the least she could do for him. However, Keenan suddenly shouted, "You can't do that! It's too dangerous!" Bonnie patted Keenan's shoulder and said, "It's okay. You're here with me. I believe in your skills."

Keenan thought, 'There she goes again.'

Bonnie entered the store and started picking things, "This pearl necklace isn't half bad. That one over there looks good, too. Jim's grandma might like it." Ultimately, she chose a high-gloss pearl necklace. Each pearl was smooth, flawless, and gleaming. She told the saleswoman, "I'll take this necklace, please." The saleswoman rolled her eyes and insulted Bonnie, "Have you looked at the price? It's forty grand. Are you sure you can afford it?"

Bonnie frowned in response.

'This lady has been giving me dirty looks since I entered the store. From the looks of it now, it doesn't seem like she's underestimating me. There's something else to it.'

"Do you know me enough to assume I can't afford this necklace? How dare you look at me as if I'm a piece of trash? What's with the mocking tone? You have such a poor character."

The saleswoman looked at Bonnie disdainfully, arms akimbo as the former said, "Hmph! Did you just say I have a poor character? I can't be sure if you can afford this necklace. For all I know, you shamelessly got your money."

"It looks like you're itching for a beating!" Keenan was about to reprimand the saleswoman when Bonnie stopped him.

Bonnie asked, "I'm curious. Why did you say all those things, miss?"

Someone outside the door answered, "That's bold of you to ask. Everyone knows you earned your money by blackmailing Orpheus. You stole him from Sienna-now you're public enemy number one. I can't believe you dare to shop here. Your courage is commendable."

Bonnie turned and saw a lady who was not particularly beautiful but carried a costly handbag. Then, the former noticed the lady's dress. If Bonnie was not mistaken, the lady wore an outfit from Bohemian Boutique, which Tang Fusion Studios owned.

Bonnie asked, "Who are you?"

The young lady looked at Bonnie condescendingly and said, "I'm one of the Shermans."

After some thought, Bonnie questioned, "Which Sherman are you talking about?"

"Seriously?! You don't know that we're one of the wealthiest families in Pyralis? It looks like you only know how to seduce and steal other people's boyfriends."

"You said it," the saleswoman added.

'I think I know why this saleswoman is so harsh toward me now. She's one of those brain-dead fans of either Orpheus or Sienna.'

Bonnie remarked, "If my memory serves me right, Thaddeus is the only child the Shermans had. Of course, they did reconcile with their younger, long-lost son. When did they have a daughter?"

Kara Sherman stared at Bonnie in bewilderment and thought, 'I can't believe she knows about one of the deepest family secrets! Orpheus must've told her about it!'
