“What are you doing?” Bonnie stepped back, narrowly avoiding Ivor’s grasp. 

Ivor narrowed his eyes. “What are you hiding? You didn’t go for a walk like you said, did you?“. Bonnie sighed and turned solemn, saying, “Fine, I went to have dinner with some friends who happened to be men. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to cause a misunderstanding

“Whenever I do something with my male friends, you always act weird and make me uncomfortable.”

“Apology accepted. I know you care about me, but I’m exhausted and need some rest.” Bonnie then turned and avoided eye contact as if giving him a cold shoulder. 

“Okay, then, I’ll leave you to it.” Ivor turned and left. 

Once the door closed, Bonnie sighed in relief. 

‘Good thing I’m excellent at thinking on my feet. Otherwise, Ivor would’ve found me out.‘ 

Bonnie grew dizzier as sleepiness kept washing over her. She then entered the bathroom to take a shower. “Ouch! I forgot.” 

She had forgotten about the wound on her forehead, and the water splashed onto it. Still, she took a quick shower, put on her pajamas, and went to sleep. 

The following day, Professor Terry called and told her about a vital research breakthrough. He also told Bonnie to visit the research institute. On the way there, Bonnie felt drowsy and desperate for more sleep. 

Half an hour later, a group of older professors gathered around Bonnie at the research institute’s conference room. As she sat and listened to their reports, her vision darkened, and she fell 

unconscious. 

“Ms. Bonita!” 

“Something’s wrong! Ms. Bonita fainted. Quick, call a doctor!” 

“Hey, we need a doctor in here!” 

“Oh no! Ms. Bonita’s bleeding from her forehead!”
