Chapter 15

Sam P.O.V

“Noooo.” I shouted and cried as Brendan stepped down into the basement.

I knew what he was doing he done this every day.

He’d come down giving me seven new cuts, seven new burning deep cuts. And since the knife was made wolfsbane it will take a long time for my wounds to heal, if I ever get out of this place. Brendan would occasionally bring down a spoonful of food and a sip of water, but I was completely malnourished by now.

‘We’re going to get out it’s alright.’ Leah sobbed.

Brendan smirked as he neared. “Don’t.” I screamed wriggling like a worm, but the chains burned me once again.

I stopped struggling against them. And held my head high he stopped and stared at me, before slicing the seven new cuts and also ones that had healed.

“Arghhhh.” I screamed. The pain was intense. I didn’t know how much longer I would be able to take it.

Cole P.O.V

It has been two weeks, two agonising long weeks, since Sam has gone missing. The pack and I have been out everyday, searching everywhere we could possibly search.

I was at home having lunch with the rest of my family. “Alpha.” I heard a knock on the door. I went to the door and opened it.

“Come in.” I said walking back to my lunch. My pack member followed me in, as he bowed in respect.

“Alpha I need to speak to you.” He said hesitantly and looking at the rest of my family one by one.

“What ever you want to say, you can say it in front of my family.” I said, taking a bite of my sandwich. “Okay,” he paused, “Alpha, we don’t think we’re going to find Sam. We think we should stop searching an-“ He said, but I cut him off.

“You want to stop searching, and by we you mean the whole pack don’t you.” I roared standing up as the chair from underneath me, flew to the opposite side of the room. Everyone flinched when I yelled. “Alpha, I-I....I mean no disrespect..I j-just th-think th-at we should just accept the fact that we’re not going to find her.” He stuttered.

I couldn’t believe he just said that. I grabbed the closest thing to me, a chair, picked it up with both hands and smashed it against the floor. Why was I so angry? Something snapped inside of me again.

My pack member whimpered. Leo and Hannah sat there in shock and my mother was trying to calm me down.

“NO ONE WILL CALL OFF THE SEARCH.” I roared again and stormed out of the room.

Stan was going crazy inside me. I had to shift, so I shifted and took off.

Two hours later after I had finally cooled down, one of my pack members, Trevor, mind linked me.

‘Alpha we think that we’ve got something. We’re not to sure though.’ He said.

‘Than what are you waiting for, meet me back at the house.’ I said as I sped through trees that were in my way.

I got back home and Trevor was there waiting for me. “What do you have?” I asked walking up onto the deck where he stood.

“There’s an old church, it’s the only thing we haven’t checked yet.” He said, showing me a map of the town. He pointed to a building shape on the map.

“It’s abandoned and about seventy years old. I didn’t want to check it without back up. It’s on the very edge of town.” He said looking back up to me.

“She’s there, she’s got to be.” I said nodding my head.

“Get everyone who can fight ready, we don’t know who’s behind them walls.” I said. Trevor nodded and walked off. Leaving me looking at the map. “I’m coming Sam, I’m coming.” I said quietly.

Ten minutes later, everyone knew what was happening and we were just about ready to go. We all stood in the clearing, everyone waiting for my orders.

“When we get there I want five of you out the back of the church and five on each side plus seven out the front. The rest will follow me.” I ordered.

“We protect our own, we fight for our own and we will kill for our own. This pack will protect one another.” I growled.

“Are you ready?” I shouted, showing my canines and red eyes.

The others showed their wolf’s eyes and flashed their canines also. “Yeah.” They shouted back.

We all shifted and took off towards the church.
