Evadne vanished into the washroom to rid herself of the stickiness of the day, then traded her skirt for a fresh one. Eager to clear her mind and sober up, she took a stroll around the house.

“Jason.” she slurred.

“Miss Nydia, you’re mistaken. I’m not Jason, I’m his brother, Cedric,” he corrected her.

Cedric, who bore a slight resemblance to Jason, looked down at her with an amused smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
