Chapter 157 Do You Truly Not Remember Me

The physics teacher seemed somewhat taken aback. “Me?”

“Correct”

“Sure, but I’m not sure what you’d like to talk about”

Lysander glanced in the direction of the convenience store. Cram school had just ended, and many students were inside buying things. Michelle was still stuck inside and wouldn’t be able to get out so soon.

“Let’s cut to the chase,” Lysander said. “A married man with a child should be responsible for his wife and kid. He shouldn’t take advantage of his age and experience to manipulate an underage girl, potentially jeopardizing her future. Wouldn’t you agree?”

The man wore a look of surprise, but it quickly gave way to a knowing smile.

“Are you Michelle’s family?”

“I am her sister, her biological sister.”

The man nodded in acknowledgment. “Hello, my name is Zachary Powell.”

“Hello, Mr. Powell.”

Zachary seemed to find the situation somewhat amusing, yet absurd. “All right, I can accept being addressed that way.

As they were speaking, Michelle returned with joy.

“Lysander, here’s your water! It’s chilled.”

Lysander took it, saying, “Thanks.”

Michelle spread her hands out in front of her, pouting playfully. “I want my money back.”

Lysander scoffed, “You’re practically an adult now, yet you’re still acting like a child.”

Michelle clung to her arm affectionately. “Lysander, my dear sister, why have you only just returned? I have so many things to tell you.”

“Let’s go home. Mom has prepared a lot of delicious food. Say goodbye to Mr. Powell”

Michelle paused for a moment, glancing at Zachary, then back to Lysander, her expression slightly surprised. “Lysander, don’t you recognize Zachary?”

Upon hearing this address, Lysander felt a bit irritated.

They’re teacher and student, but she’s calling him by his name so intimately

Lysander furrowed her brows and chastised, “Show some respect to your teacher.”

“But Zachary doesn’t teach me.” 

Lysander wondered, He doesn’t? Isn’t he the physics teacher from the cram school? What on earth is going on?

Zachary chuckled softly. “Lysander, do you truly not remember me?”

Lysander racked her brain, searching for anyone with the name Zachary Powell.

She couldn’t remember anything and candidly shook her head.

At this point, even Michelle couldn’t hold back: “Lysander, have you forgotten Zachary, Mdm. Camila’s son? When you were filling out your college applications, it was him who suggested you to go to a medical university.”

Lysander finally remembered.

Camila Larson was Laura’s close friend. They used to work in the same department.

At the time, her failure in the college entrance exams had been a shock to everyone in the family. Given her academic performance, even if she wasn’t guaranteed a spot at Apex University, getting in shouldn’t have been a problem.

However, due to the situation between Daphne and Harry later on, her performance in the college entrance exams was not up to par. She fell short of the admission cut–off for Apex University by more than ten points.

She had considered repeating a year to retake the college entrance exams. However, her family’s financial situation was tight. Michelle was an average student, and the upcoming cost of extra tutoring for her would be even more substantial. Yet, her grades were quite good, making it a shame to settle for an average university.

Maverick and Laura were not highly educated, merely ordinary workers, and had no clue about what to do.

In the end, it was during a visit from Camila’s son that she received a piece of advice. He suggested that she should go to a medical university. Given her impressive academic performance, she could easily secure a full scholarship. Moreover, upon graduation, she would be assigned to a job at Central Hospital, which would solve any employment concerns. If she was interested in further studies, she could even consider applying for postgraduate studies at the medical department of Apex University.

While she always remembered Camila, she didn’t recall that Camila’s husband’s surname was Powell. When filling out the form for her preferred university, she was distracted by numerous legal issues. Moreover, she was also worried about Daphne, so she didn’t get the chance to ask the young man’s name.
