Chapter 57 I Will Woo You Then 

Kallum was stunned for a few moments before he broke into a smile and said, “Are you joking with me?” 

“No, I’m don’t joke about such things.” 

Calista’s expression was very solemn, her eyes bright in the night. But that serious tone of voice made. Kallum’s heart suddenly burn with anger. 

“Are you playing with me?” 

Calista saw Kallum raise his eyebrows slightly and she knew he was going to blow his top, so she put two fingers on his lips to stop him. 

“I’m not playing with you. Those things I said to you today while I was in a daze weren’t lies to cheat you. I did like you before, no, the word ‘like‘ is not sufficient. You were the only reason why I continued living. and I loved you deeply. 

Kallum felt himself tremble at the words ‘loved deeply, and the fire that threaten to destroy everything in its way mysteriously disappeared. 

Calista started laughing bitterly at herself. When she saw him, she felt she could see her torn and battered previous life.

Calista pursed her lips together. “But that doesn’t mean…“. 

“So why don’t you give me a chance?” 

Calista immediately frowned. 

“So you wooed me before, so I’ll woo you from now on, ok?” 

The confusion in Kallum’s eyes all turned into confidence. “I’ll definitely win you over!” 

“No you won’t!” 

He didn’t know which nerve of Calista’s he struck with his words, but she pushed him away might and then her expression suddenly became cold again. “It’s very late, I must go back.”

Her words were like a huge tub of water that drenched Kallum completely. He suddenly felt that there was still an invisible wall between him and Calista. 

In the hospital, after Benedict had left with mixed feelings, Quincy started going hysterical. 

“Mum! Didn’t you say there won’t be any problems? Why did Jonathan turn around and accuse you? If we can’t push all the blame on Calista and use this as a bigger scandal to distract the public, how am I going to face anybody in Horington?!” 

Yelena was in hot soup herself – Benedict had calmly told her earlier that if he finds out she was really the mastermind after a thorough investigation, he was going to divorce her. 

Yelena was in a panic now. Benedict was usually a really clueless man, but after all that happened, he had begun to realize that many things were not what they seemed. If he really divorced her, where could she go? 

“Quincy…Quincy, don’t worry. Nobody will say what happened today.” 

“They won’t say?” Quincy’s glared at her with bloodshot eyes and quietly said, “Thirteen people saw the footage today and you can guarantee none of them will say anything? You think the Stafford family has enough influence to shut their mouths?!” 

Yelena grew serious and reiterated, “Don’t worry, have you forgotten about my father? He won’t let those people simply spout nonsense.” 

Actually the Langleys‘ influence wasn’t really sufficient to shut people up, but Sterling was different. The Wolfords were infamous for being a nefarious bunch, and they were definitely able to shut the mouths of everyone who was present earlier. But Yelena wasn’t going to tell Quincy about her connection with the

Quincy was still young, so she believed what her mother said. 

“Really? Grandpa will help me? And those people won’t say anything?” 

Yelena nodded. “Don’t worry, I guarantee you they won’t say a single word.” 

Quincy was still a little unsure, but she had calmed down and finally started worrying about her own. mother. 

“But Mum…after today, what are you going to do? Jonathan has identified you as the master mind, and Daddy.. 

Yelena’s face paled as she replied, “Nothing will happen…he has no evidence, so nothing will happen to
