Her Mythical Warriors (Book Two)
Chapter Thirty-Nine: Fairy Me This

Akira watched her best friend and the prince. Could he feel the pull to her she felt toward him? They’ve discussed it before—but never got into details…

“I….” Leviasen looked at Akira, and Akira felt the pull to him. “I can sense everything you do. When you were sick, I felt it deep inside me. When you died, I felt like a part of me died, too. When you—uhm, do things with your warriors, I uh, well—I feel that too.”

Every eye in the group opened wide with shock.

“You didn’t tell me that part,” Jules said, shocked at the news.

Levi’s cheeks turned bright red. “It’s too embarrassing. Why do you think I prefer to be as far away as I can when they do something?”

“I thought it was so we could do something,” Jules admitted, her cheeks turning a bright red.

Akira had to force her mouth to close and cleared her throat. “Why would you feel when I do things with my warriors?”

Levi shrugged, “I don’t know. It’s not like I can feel everything. I just feel your feelings and know when they….” He stopped and turned from them.

Akira felt like dying.

“You feel when she gets off?” Wolfric questioned, his eyebrows furrowed.

Levi nodded, “but not all the time. Just when she’s over-excited. Like the night you guys had the ritual to discover her chosen mate. I felt when she came the first time with each of you, but that was all. I was just as confused as you guys—because she should have felt something different with each of you, but she never has.”

“That’s just creepy,” Darius whispered.

Levi sighed and glared at Julianne. “This is why I haven’t said anything.”

Akira watched Julianne look away from Levi and frowned.

“You two better not let this come between you. I worked too hard to get your heads out of your asses for you to stick them back up there,” Akira warned her friends.

Everyone looked at Akira. Her warriors chuckled and shook their heads.

Jules smiled at Akira and looked at Levi. Levi looked at her and sighed as he pulled her closer to him.

“I guess it had to come out sometime,” he said.

Jules nodded and laid her head on his shoulder.

Akira smiled and looked at her warriors, then at Levi. “I feel a connection to you, too. It’s strong like yours, but I don’t feel when you….” She looked from Levi to Jules and back again. She shook her head and started laughing. “I am so sorry you have to go through that.”

Levi shrugged, “it’s not unheard of with my race. It usually happens with close blood relatives. Luckily, I don’t have any sisters.”

The others laughed.

“Vampires sometimes have a close bond with a family member. But I don’t remember feeling my sister’s orgasms,” Malique stated.

Everyone looked at the vampire.

“You have a sister?” Akira asked, shocked.

Malique shrugged, “we’re not that close. She hates Wolfric, so I haven’t seen her in years. Wolfric needed me when you went missing, and she tried to forbid me from being near the dog….” He looked at Wolfric and grinned. “Her words, not mine. Anyway, I don’t talk about my family often. They’re not interested in anything but blood and sex.”

“Isn’t that what you were into before you found me?” Akira asked, smirkingly.

Malique grinned at Akira. “Yes, little one. That is exactly how I was before I met you.”

“Uh, we kind of got sidetracked,” Stella informed them.

Akira smiled at the troll. She was right. But she got all the information she needed. They call her princess because—in the world of Gods and myths—she’s a princess. And there is an odd pull between her and Levi. They won’t solve it here. Maybe…

“I think we should visit the Fairy Realm before we go home.”

“The Fairy Realm?” everyone asked simultaneously.

Akira nodded and said, “yes, it will explain a lot. Mostly it will explain why Levi and I have a strong pull.”

Levi grinned, “great idea. My parents would love to meet you and your warriors. And the fact all five of your warriors are your chosen mates will interest them deeply.”

Akira nodded and said, “true.”

Wolfric smiled. “I guess we’re heading to the Fairy Realm.”

“Found a portal. Don’t know where it leads, but it’s not far,” Leviasen called down to the group from his perch on his dragonfly mount.

“Lead the way!” Wolfric called up to him.

Levi nodded and turned Pen in the direction of the portal.

It didn’t take them long to make their way to the portal. Wolfric lifted Akira into his arms and, without a word, jumped through the portal. Akira was too tired of arguing with them about going through the portals alone. One way or another, her warriors will ensure she’s safe when they go through an unknown portal.

Once the group was on the other side of the portal, Wolfric set Akira on her feet, and they looked around their surroundings.

“A desert?” Julianne questioned.

Akira sighed. “I really don’t want to go through that again.” She looked at Zelious, then at Wolfric. Too much happened the last time they were in a desert like this.

“Let’s quickly find another portal,” Wolfric grumbled.

Akira could tell he, too, didn’t want to be here longer than necessary.

Levi jumped onto his mount and took off in search of another portal.

The group stayed by the portal as they waited for Levi’s return.

“What happened in the other desert?” Niall questioned.

Akira looked at her newest warrior and smiled, then frowned. “I almost lost two of my warriors.”

Niall studied her, then pulled her into his arms and held her.

“Well, we almost lost all of us,” Julianne mumbled.

“It was my fault,” Stella pouted.

“No, it wasn’t.” Akira turned in Niall’s arms to look at her little friend. “You didn’t know the sand would cave in.”

“Okay, now I’m really interested,” Niall said.

The group told Niall what happened the last time they were in a desert like this. How they rescued Stella, then lost Wolfric. How Zelious almost dried up like a prune, and they rescued Wolfric, who didn’t really need rescuing because a water nymph saved his ass.

Niall laughed and shook his head. “Sounds like you guys had some great adventures before you found me.”

Akira wrapped her arms around Niall. “And we’re going to have more—now that we have you.”

He looked down at her and grinned.

“Found a portal,” Levi called from the sky.

They looked up at Levi, and the group followed the fairy prince to the next portal.

~⚔~

“This is some crazy ass shit,” Darius complained. “How many portals does this make now?”

“Fifteen,” Akira grumbled.

“How did you and Levi find us so fast when you came to rescue Sevean?” Darius asked Jules.

Julianne shrugged. “You guys were close to our realm. Remember, Sevean was my friend long before you guys came across him. It wasn’t the first time I had visited him. We knew our way.”

“Who’s Sevean?” Zelious asked.

Akira and Julianne smiled at the merman.

“Sevean is my best friend. He and I have been friends for years. I had a vision he was in trouble, and come to find out, he was actually being saved.” Jules smiled at Akira.

Akira smiled, “and that is how we met our fairy friends.”

Niall smiled. “How did you meet the trolls?”

Akira burst into laughter. “I was captured by a huge ass spider who tried to kill me. I kept healing her bite marks, and her venom didn’t affect me. The twins found me and offered to cut me down and take me away if I did a favor for them. I knew my warriors would be there soon, but I could tell they needed my help. So, I agreed, and they took me home. I healed their brother, and the twins found my warriors and brought them to me.”

Stella jumped in and told them the rest.

“This is it!” Levi called from the sky.

The group looked up at the fairy.

“You found it?” Wolfric asked.

Levi nodded and motioned for them to follow him.

Niall lifted Akira into his arms and started following Leviasen.

Akira looked up at her Centaur Warrior.

He smiled down at her, “you looked exhausted. Thought you could use a lift.”

Akira smiled and leaned into him. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

~⚔~

“It’s beautiful,” Akira whispered as they approached the portal to the Fairy Realm.

Jules nodded in agreement and said, “one of the prettiest I’ve seen in our travels.”

The lavender sparks bouncing off the sky-blue portal made it more alluring. When a spark flashed close to Akira, she noticed they were shaped like flowers.

“You must be careful. The fairy portal can detect deceit and betrayal. Among other things,” Levi warned them.

Akira reached out to touch the portal. She hasn’t deceived anyone, nor has she betrayed them. The sparks on the portal exploded, making Akira take a leap back.

Levi eyed the portal and said, “that’s odd.”

“I’ve never seen it do that to anyone but royalty,” Julianne said, stunned.

“Maybe it’s because she has true Gods’ blood in her veins, which makes her a mythical princess,” Darius suggested.

“I have Gods’ blood in me,” Zelious said.

They watched Zelious reach out to the portal, but nothing happened when he touched it.

“Odd,” Wolfric grumbled.

Levi touched the portal. The sparks exploded around him as if welcoming him home.

Akira touched the other side of the portal. The sparks exploded around her, making her feel—welcomed.

Wolfric pulled Akira from the portal. “Okay, looks like this was a good idea after all.”

“Let’s get this over with. The sooner we find Levi’s parents, the sooner we find what’s causing all this craziness,” Darius said.

The group tumbled through the portal one at a time. When Wolfric and Akira came through, Akira sucked in a breath.

Yes, more trees, but they were tall, thick, and beautiful. She felt like she was finally home.

~⚔~

It didn’t take long to make their way to the royal tree. When the guards stopped them, Levi announced himself. The guards bowed and stepped back but kept an eye on Akira. As if she was an enigma.

“Levi?” a soft feminine voice echoed through the tree as they stepped inside.

Levi smiled, “hello, Mother.”

“Leviasen!” Levi’s mother came into the entry hall and hugged her son.

Akira watched the beautiful fairy queen as she looked at Julianne. Akira knew the woman sensed something different between the two. Levi’s mother stepped back from her son and held her arms open for Jules. A tear slid down the queen’s face.

“It’s about time,” she whispered.

Julianne smiled as she moved into the queen’s arms and hugged the woman.

“Told you so,” Levi mumbled to Jules.

Akira and her warriors chuckled.

“I heard we have visitors,” a man said as he walked into the hall.

Akira looked at the king. The king sucked in a breath and took a step back when he saw her. Akira didn’t know what to do. Did the fairy king despise her already?

“Evelynia,” the king breathed.

Akira stared at the king. He thinks she’s someone else? But how?

“Father,” Levi said, watching the king. “This is the Havent I told you and mother about. This is Akira….”

“Akira,” the king said, a tear sliding down his cheek. “She kept her promise.”

Akira took another step back. What was the man talking about?

“Your majesty. Our Havent is scared and confused. Please explain yourself,” Wolfric said.

The king wiped a tear from his cheek. “You look just like her,” he said.

Akira shook her head. She knows he couldn’t be talking about her mother. She doesn’t look much like her mother or Apollo. Which now she knows he’s not her birth father. So, she figured she looked more like Lysander, her real father.

“Who… who do I look like?” Akira asked, her voice shaking.

The king moved closer to Akira, and Akira took a step back. The king stopped moving when he saw her take the step back and sighed.

“I guess she wouldn’t have told you. Not when she was forced to raise you as that monster’s child.”

Akira’s body shook. He’s speaking of her mother.

“Father. What is going on?” Leviasen questioned the king.

“Please, tell me how you know my mother,” Akira begged.

The king nodded and looked around the room at the group of prominent men and trolls.

The king looked at Akira and sighed. “It is a long story. How about we have some tea?”

Tea? Really? The man is offering her tea while she’s so confused—she wants to run away.

“Husband, you are only confusing the poor girl more,” the queen said, watching Akira.

Akira looked at Levi’s mother. The kindness in her eyes had Akira’s heartbeat slowing.

“Maybe tea is not the right thing to offer,” the king admitted.

“Father, what is going on?” Levi asked.

The king looked at Levi, then at Akira again. “Sweet child. Did your mother tell you who she named you after?”

Akira nodded, “my uncle.”

The king smiled. “And what is your uncles’ name?”

“Akio,” Akira whispered. She had no clue what hers, or her uncle’s name, had to do with anything.

Leviasen sucked in a shocked breath and stared at Akira. Julianne took a step back from Akira, making Akira frown. Why were her friends acting so odd because of a name?

“Husband, be gentle,” the queen said carefully.

The king nodded and held his hands out to Akira. Akira didn’t want to offend the king of the fairies, but she was afraid of what would happen if she touched him.

“Sire,” Wolfric said as he moved between Akira and the fairy king.

The king nodded. “Please let her come to me.”

Wolfric looked at Akira, then at the fairies around them, and nodded to the king. But he didn’t leave Akira’s side, and neither did her other warriors.

Akira took a step forward and placed her hands in the king’s. A blast of wind blew across her face, making her suck in a sharp breath. It whirled around her head, making her feel lightheaded.

“Akira, daughter of Lysander and Temple, granddaughter of Evelynia and Idris….”

Leviasen and Julianne sucked in shocked breaths at the mention of the last two names.

“I greet you and welcome you to our home. Princess,” the king finished with a bow.

The wind stopped blowing, and Akira stared at the king, dumbfounded. What just happened?

“That explains a lot,” Julianne chuckled.

Akira looked at her friend, her eyebrows furrowed.

“My sweet girl, you are finally home,” the king said.

Akira looked at the king with a frown. What the hell is going on?!

The queen grinned at Akira and said, “husband, love. I think you should introduce yourself to the poor girl.”

The king nodded, “of course.” He squeezed Akira’s hands and smiled.

“Hello, Princess Akira; I am King Akio.”
