Chapter 46 Failed Attempt

"What happened?! Did we jump unto the wrong palace?!" the leader of the intruders to the Knostican Palace shouted with madness and shock.

"Where are we Sir?" one of the intruders asked with confusion.

"Idiot! I asked first and you replied with a question too! How on earth we ended up here?!" the leader angrily retorted while he swung his arms with frustrations.

"Hmm, looking at the premises, I could tell that we are in the midst of a forest." The other intruder with a bulky body and sour face offered an answer to their leader's query.

The leader retorted with hissed, "Another stupid ogre! Do you think I did not know that we are in a forest?! What forest is this and how can we find the way back to our hideout?!"

Being called an ogre, the bulky body man retaliated to their leader. "How will we know? We came here at the same time. If you did not know where we are, much more that we did not know where we are; idiot,' he said angrily while lowering his voice when he mentioned the word idiot.

Some of their companions laughed but suddenly stopped when their leader shot them with his fiery eyes. He made a quick step right in front of the man he called ogre and punched him hard on his face. "You son of a gun, don't call me an idiot!" then he punched him again.

When the younger brother of the man called ogre saw what their leader is doing to his brother, immediately he came to his rescue. He got his gun and shot the head of their leader.

"Hah, I thought I am not going to use this gun! Peace be with you, Sir! Idiot, idiot!" the young brother shouted with mockery as he saw their leader with only his half head remaining, fell on the ground of the forest that they did not know where.

At the Glodeous Palace, Marshall came looking for King Timodore and Queen Asalea. He was met by Dreckos at the main door of the palace.

"Hola Marshall, what a sudden visit. How's the Knostican Palace?"Dreckos greeted him with a smile.

"Dreckos, I need to speak with the King. Yesterday night the Knostican Palace has been attacked." He replied with urgency.

Dreckos became worried as he led Marshall to the throne's hall.

"My King, apology for coming here without any invitation or prior notice." Marshall's introduction while vowing his head when he saw King Timodore sitting on his throne.

"It's fine Marshall. What brought you here at this hour?" King Timodore looked at Marshall inquisitively.

Marshall directs his eyes to King Timodore and then laid down what happened to the Knostican Palace yesterday night. "My King, I don't know what happened, but I can assure you that none of them are inside the palace anymore. We have searched everywhere and every corner of the palace already."

King Timodore hides a secret smile. He just nodded to Marshall. "Marshall, don't worry about them anymore, they will not return to the Knostican Palace. But be careful more as I am sure the enemy will be sending more troops to try to invade our Kingdom Knostica."

"Yes, my King. I can assure you that all of us at the Knostican Palace will take care and defend it even if it will cost our lives." Marshall vowed his head and requested for the King's approval to let him leave now the Glodeous Palace.

Their moment has been intruded by Queen Asalea, who came holding her tummy with her face frowning to its utmost.

Sulie has been waiting. It has been days, yet their men are not yet coming back. Where the hell are they?" she thought.

She walked around and looked for his Uncle's right-hand man, Krobi.

"Krobi, what happened to our men? No news yet?" she asked while fuming with irritation on her gesture.

"I'm sorry Ms. Sulie, but they are not answering their phones since the time they left. I drove around the Knostican Palace this morning to check, but the palace seems to be fine and quiet." Krobi replied confusions are scattered all over his face.

"So what do you think? They changed their minds and ran? What the hell they were thinking? Uncle will not spare their lives once he caught them!" Sulie angrily retorted. She is exasperated. Toremo will be coming today to hear her good news. But what good news can she give if those morons have not returned yet? She sighed with annoyance. She will not get even a quick kiss from Toremo.
