Chapter 22 Hidden Wealth

Marshall continued to clean up and repair everything inside the Knostican Palace. He wanted to surprise more the Knostican crowned Princess; her Princess Asalea. He will make the Knostican Kingdom shines again.

He was even chanting while fixing like a flash all that needs to be fixed inside the palace. Marshall is excited for the future of having Princess Asalea around again.

At the Glodeous Kingdom, Queen Asalea is at the lanai area. She is trying to relax while King Timodore is busy outside the palace, visiting his chain of hotels businesses, which Queen Asalea only knew this morning. She did not know before that the three biggest five-star hotels in the City named "Tim & Dore Hotel I, Tim & Dore Hotel II, Tim & Dore Hotel III" are his parent's businesses, which he took over after their deaths.

Queen Asalea was somewhat surprised upon knowing it. She never thought that aside from being the Glodeous King, her husband is also one of the wealthiest vampires in this place of different vampires and werewolves Kingdoms.

Compared to her parents, King Timodore's parents are totally different. Her parents never thought of having businesses when they were still living. They said that they have more than enough being the King and Queen of the Knostikan Kingdom. Their wealth is inside the Palace; tons of gold hidden in a secret underground room that only his parents, she, and their right-hand man knew.

Suddenly, Queen Asalea's eyes grew wide with such realization. "Oh my, where are those tons of gold now? Did Marshall know about it?" she exclaimed remembering those tons of gold hidden in their secret room in the palace.

Memories then came rushing into Queen Asalea's head.

It was late at night, before her coronation as the crowned Princess of the Knostican Kingdom; her parents showed her the underground secret room which looked like a mini-library. The door to that underground room is on the floor under the big dining wood table. She needs to push hard, one floor tile and four tiles will hang down. It would be the opening door going down the secret room.

Inside that secret room is another secret room, which can only be detected once the big wall painting of the King and Queen will be removed. Installed therein is a lock of one to ten numbers. Her parents told her the number combination to press so that the secret door will slide open.

Queen Asalea's eyes grew wider and wider, everything is flowing on her mind now. She can easily remember the number combination; they are numbers commensurate to the last three letters of her name, LEA; 12, 5, and 1.

She suddenly stood, thinking of going to the Knostican Kingdom now while her husband is still busy. She went to their bedroom first and there she transformed herself into her invisible form. She needs to move quickly.

Queen Asalea ran going to the Knostican Palace in her invisible form. As she entered the palace, she was too surprised to see the cleanliness of the surroundings. Marshall made the palace more alive again. She knows, the Knostican Palace will soon shine to its prior splendor.

She looked for Marshall but she will not let him see her, she will remain in her invisible form. She will just observe him and check what he is doing. She found him trying to revive the palace garden, by tilling the soil and re-planting some dying flowering and herbal plants therein. A smile formed in her lips while observing. Marshall is a very responsible man. She likes him around even when they were still kids. He is the brother she never had. She smiled. How lucky that he is still alive.

She watched Marshall for a while before deciding to check on the secret underground room.

She pushed hard the tile that is the key to open up the door to the underground secret room. She smiled when it opened. "Gotcha!" she exclaimed. She closed the door again.

As she entered the secret room, she noticed that it seemed to remain untouched. It only means Marshall does not know about this secret room yet.

She removed the wall painting of her parents and pressed the number combinations to slide open the door.

As the secret room opened, Queen Asalea was amazed to see the shining tons of gold inside it. She is not a pauper Princess after all.

"With these tons of gold, the Knostican Kingdom will soon rise again." Queen Asalea whispered with tears in her eyes, while longing for her dead King Father and Queen Mother.
