I was in shock. I had not expected this at all. It made sense now, why the pack had treated him with such reverence. It made sense why he had been so injured, why he had been out in the forest alone. He was the Alpha, the leader of the pack.

I couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed. I had come to this place not knowing who or what I would find, and now I was in the presence of the Alpha. I felt out of my depth, and I didn’t know what to do.

As the beta stepped into the room, I could tell that something was wrong. He looked troubled, his brow furrowed in thought. I had a feeling that whatever he was about to tell me was going to be bad news.

“Gabriella,” the beta said, his voice low and grave. “We have a problem.”

“What is it?” I asked, my heart beating faster. I was afraid of what he was going to say.

“Matthew,” he said.

“Please,” the beta said, his voice urgent. “Tell me everything that happened. How did you find him? What was his condition? What did you do to help him?”

I took a deep breath and began to recount the story, from the moment I had stumbled upon Matthew in the forest. As I spoke, I saw the concern grow in the beta’s eyes.

When I reached the clearing, I saw a wolf lying on the ground, blood pooling around its b*dy. I ran to it, my heart in my throat.

As I approached, I noticed that it was a male wolf, and I could tell that it was badly hurt. I knelt down beside it, gently touching its fur. The wolf’s e eyes fluttered open, and it looked at me, its expression pleading.

I knew I had to do something to help it, but I wasn’t sure what to do. I could see that it had a large wound on its side, and it was breathing heavily.

I looked around, and I took him to a barn that was closer, luckily for me, I saw some materials for dressing and cleaning the wound and I did that hoping it will ease the pain.

As I stood there, he was weak, so I decided to find water and food around the forest.

I heard a rustling sound in the bushes nearby. I froze, afraid of what might be there. A moment later, I heard a’growl, low and menacing. I turned, and saw a wolf, its eyes glowing red, its teeth bared. It lunged at me, and I had just enough time to jump out of

Just when I thought all hope was lost, I heard another growl, this one deeper and more powerful than the rogue’s. I turned, and saw another wolf standing there, its fur bristling, its teeth bared. The battle was brutal and ferocious, and it seemed to go on forever. But finally, the rogue was defeated, its b*dy lying still on the ground. The other wolf turned to me, its eyes softening.

I looked at the wolf, now standing before me. I knew that it was Matthew, the man I had just helped.

He had risked his life to save me even if he was not strong enough to fight, and I was filled with gratitude and awe.

He had returned the little kindness I had shown him, and more. I looked into his eyes, and saw something I had never seen before, the look of a true hero.

“I am James, the Beta of this pack,” the man said, his voice deep and resonant.

“You are a brave and kind person, to risk your life to save Matthew. I welcome you to our pack, and I hope you will be happy here.”

I looked up at him, and I could see that he meant what he said. I felt a surge of hope, and I knew that I had found a new home, a place where I would be safe.

“Thank you, James,” I said.

Just then, the door to the room opened, and one of the pack soldiers entered. “Beta,” he said, his voice urgent. “Matthew is awake. He wishes to speak with you.”

I felt a jolt of relief, knowing that Matthew was okay. I stood up, and followed the soldier and the Beta out of the room.

As we walked through the halls of the pack house, I saw many people staring at me, their expressions curious and wary. I knew that I would have to earn their trust, but I was determined to try.

As we approached the chamber, I could hear voices inside, raised in heated discussion. The Beta opened the door, and I followed him inside.

In the center of the room, Matthew stood, his b*dy still weak but his eyes fierce. He

The chambers were like nothing I had ever seen before. The floors were made of polished stone, and the walls were covered in rich tapestries.

The furniture was ornate and finely carved, and the air was filled with the scent of flowers and herbs. I could tell that this was a place of power and wealth, and I felt a bit out of place. But I tried to hide my discomfort, and I kept my head high.

The Beta walked towards a large, ornate chair, and sat down. Matthew’s eyes lit up when he saw me, and he gave me a small smile. I felt a rush of warmth, and I knew that we were friends, even though we had known each other for such a short time.

The Beta spoke to Matthew, his voice low and urgent. I could not hear what he was saying. but I knew that it was important. Matthew nodded, and then turned back to me.

“Thank you,” he said, his voice soft. “I owe you my life.”

I blushed, and I could not find the words to reply.

Apparently, the Beta had informed Matthew that the pack would be sending out a search party to find out how the rogues had known about his whereabouts, and to make sure that they were caught and punished. I felt a sense of relief. knowing that I would be safe here, with Matthew and the pack.

Matthew turned to me again, his eyes full of gratitude. “Thank you,” he said again. “You have saved me, and I will never forget it. I felt my cheeks flush, and I smiled back at him.

Matthew whispered something to the Beta, and immediately he stood up and left the room, closing the door behind him. I was now alone with Matthew, and I felt a mixture of emotions. I was relieved, but I was also nervous. I had never been alone with a man before, and I did not know what to say.

I looked at Matthew, and he looked back at me. There was a moment of silence, and then he spoke.

“You must have so many questions,” he said.

I nodded, not sure where to begin. “I don’t even know where to start,” I said, trembling slightly.

my voice

“Why didn’t you tell me who you were?” I blurted out, before I could stop myself.

Matthew held up his hand, his expression serious. “I am sorry,” he said. “It’s not as if I was hiding it, I didn’t think it was necessary at the moment

“It was to me, but never mind that’s in the past now” I replied, my voice sharp.

“I thought I was going to die,” Matthew said, his voice quiet. “I was bleeding out, and I was sure that my life was over. But then you came, and saved me.”

He looked at me, and his eyes were full of gratitude. “I owe you more than I can ever repay,” he said. “You have my eternal gratitude.”

I was taken aback by his words. I had not expected him to be so sincere, so heartfelt. “You don’t owe me anything, “I said, my voice shaking slightly. “I was just doing what anyone would have done.”

“Would you like to have dinner with me?” Matthew asked, his voice a bit hesitant. “I know that you must be tired, but I would like to get to know you better.”

I was surprised by his offer, but I found myself smiling. “I would like that,” I said, my voice a bit shy. “I would like to get to know you better as well.”

He smiled back at me, and I felt my heart flutter. “Excellent,” he said.

I followed him to the dining table and after sitting down a serv ant brought us food.

As we ate, we began to talk. We talked about our families, our childhoods, our hopes, and dreams. I found myself opening up to him a little about myself.

We laughed and shared stories, and time passed by quickly. Before I knew it, the sun. had set and the sky was dark. I looked up, and saw the stars glittering above us.

As we talked, I felt myself growing more and more comfortable with Matthew. I found myself enjoying his company, enjoying the sound of his voice, enjoying the way he laughed.

And I could tell that he was enjoying our conversation as well. There was an ease between us, a connection we both had, one would think we had met a long time ago.
