Neireida, Thomas, and I were sitting in my tent, on the bed that sat in the middle of it. It had been several days since I left to warn Draven, and Finley, and the witch was furious. She had been keeping us inside the tent for hours. She now controlled everything I did, and I had to do what she said, or the deal would be off, and My wife, and son would be dead once more, and Neireida couldn’t convince me, because the witch was the only thing keeping Thomas alive, so we were stuck, in a limbo that was excruciating to everyone residing here.

The witch entered the tent.

“Hello,” she said in a sickly sweet voice. I didn’t answer, I only glared in her direction. She pouted. “Come along now. Greet me won’t you?” She gave me a warning look. I gritted my teeth.

“Hello,” I said, jaw clenched. The witch sneered at me. My chest tightened. “Are you in need of something?” I asked. She walked deeper into the tent.

“Oh I just wanted to be sure that our deal was still in effect,” She said.

“Of course, but it’s not like I have much choice in the matter.” The witch looked disappointed.

“Well I have a new deal for you,” she said. She waved her hand making Neireida, and Thomas disappear. I stood quickly.

“What did you do? Where are they,” I said, placing a hand on my sword. The witch gave me a twisted smile.

“You’ll see them as soon as I get my souls.” She then vanished. Leaving me alone. “And you better do it quickly, or I take yours,” her disembodied voice rang in my ears. I sat down on the bed placing my head in my hand, as tears began to fall from my eyes. My thoughts were darting in every direction. My time was ticking now, not only was my life on the line, but everyone close to me was now on a time limit. I thought of my old friends, and regret started to block out every other emotion, until the anger resurged, and hate blackened my heart once more, and the worry disappeared. I exited my tent, barking out orders for them to pack up our camp, so we could continue our hunt.
