I exited the tent, and went back to my own, where Neireida, and Thomas were.

“Where did you go?” Neireida asked, I smiled,

“We caught some bandits trying to raid our camp, I just had to check on the status of them,” I replied,

“Are you holding them?” I nodded, she did the same, looking a little disappointed.

“We’ll release them in a few days, after they’ve learned not to steal from us,” I reassured her, and the disappointment left her eyes.

“Maybe I could bring them something,” she said. I shook my head.

“That would be unwise, their scoundrels, and I don’t want to imagine what they’d say if a woman entered their tent,” I warned.

“Oh, I see, well then I hope they learn their lesson.” She turned, and continued to play with Thomas, as she had been doing when I entered. I smiled at the beautiful scene of my wife, and child.
