Agnes swung around only to see a dazzling bracelet glinting in Jared’s hand.

So, Jared had indeed found it. He had been holding it all along while Agnes rummaged through his pockets. 

Could this be some cruel prank of his? 

Agnes fumed, her temper flaring at the absurdity of the situation.

His smirk sent a wave of dread through Agnes.
