Chapter 7 Naturally Close To Each Other 

The gynecologist recognized Celia and was somewhat shocked to see her walk. in. However, she proceeded with the examination as requested by Dominic. 

Celia cooperated throughout the entire process. After the examination, Dominic went with the doctor to obtain the report. 

At that moment, Celia’s attention was drawn to a pair of eyes staring at her. She spotted Grace in the waiting room, holding a report. 

Celia’s keen eyes spotted the words “pregnancy report” on the file cover. 

“Is Grace pregnant as well?” Celia thought, a jumble of emotions bubbling to the surface. 

Grace had made a good recovery after her surgery. Although her face still bore a pale complexion, it looked much better than before, reflecting a sense of happiness. 

“What a coincidence running into each other here,” Celia remarked casually. 

Grace suddenly became defensive and covered her belly. “Celia, please give Dominic back to me, she pleaded..

“Don’t worry, I have no feelings for him,” Celia said, dismissing her concerns. I don’t care about him anymore now that we’re divorced.” 

Grace’s face lit up with joy, but Celia remained indifferent. 

Suddenly, Celia heard footsteps approaching from behind and sensed a strong presence. She immediately recognized who it was. 

“How did it go?” Celia asked, raising her head to meet Dominic’s deep gaze.

Celia went to a quiet place and sent Ryan a message applauding him on a job well done. 

Celia had told Ryan to change the report results before she went to the exam with Dominic. 

“Boss, are you really pregnant? And Dawson is the father?” Ryan let out a startled yell. 

Celia gently placed her hand on her stomach, her gaze simultaneously cold and tender. She had always desired to have a child, but she never expected Dominic to be the father. 

She accepted the fact that she was expecting a child, but she kept that secret from Dominic. 

Leaving Osilfield was the only option she saw for protecting the secret. 

After some deliberation, she reached for her phone and made a call. 

“Yes, Vivian, I’ll take you up on that offer to work abroad. I can participate in that project.”

Celia stopped in her tracks and shifted her gaze towards the crowd, where she spotted Dominic at the center. 

As CEO of the Dawson Group, Dominic had made a name for himself in the industry and became the media’s focus. 

Celia had heard a few things about him, even though she never deliberately asked about it. 

During this time, the Dawson Group was thriving, and Dominic and Grace were head over heels in love and even had two kids together, which made the media constantly speculate about their impending marriage.

Instantly, her attention turned towards Dominic, and to her astonishment, he was gently bending down, cradling a child in his arms. The unexpected revelation struck her deeply as she realized that the child was none other than her own daughter, Tammy Burton. 

Celia couldn’t believe her eyes. She hadn’t expected Tammy to encounter Dominic in such a coincidental and dramatic manner. 

“Oh, it was terrifying!” Tammy’s eyes welled up with tears, clearly scared by the incident. 

“Are you alright?” Dominic tightly hugged the child, carefully checking on her. 

Tammy shook her head, saying, “I’m fine now. I was just scared a little while ago. But now that you’re holding me, I don’t feel afraid anymore.” 

“How did a child manage to get in here?” Dominic said coldly, looking at the people around him. “You weren’t paying attention, were you? Who would be held accountable if something happened to her?”

All the reporters and security personnel bowed their heads in shame, as they had no idea how the girl child had slipped into the crowd. 

Celia felt awkward and speechless because she knew Tammy always loved to stop to talk to all the handsome men she had met. 

“I wonder if she even knows who this man is,” Celia silently wondered. 

Except for Celia, no one noticed Tammy’s sly glint in her eyes. Everyone was looking at Dominic, who was tenderly protecting the little girl.
