Chapter 15

Ragnor POV

I shifted in my sleep, and was surprised when I felt something soft under my head.

I slowly opened my eyes, and was greeted with the sight of a sleeping Solveig. He looked calm and peaceful when he was asleep. Nowhere near the man that constantly glared at everyone he saw.

I laid on his lap as I stared at him, taking in all his beautiful features.. beautiful wasn't the word to describe him... he was ultimately handsome.. greek- god kind handsome.

My eyes trailed to his lips, and I wondered if anyone had kissed those lips before.. or what it felt like..

I was way passed asking myself why I had such thoughts about a man.. right now, I just wanted to feel this man.. every part of him..

I gasped as I felt him move, waking up slightly. I do not even know why, but I feigned being asleep and closed my eyes.

I could feel his eyes staring at me as he thought I slept. I could feel my heart pumping in my chest, so much so I thought it rip through my skin.

I felt his warm fingers caress my cheek and move my hair out of my face. He brought his face just centimeters away from mine, I could feel his breathe on my face as the tip of his nose touched mine.

I waited in anticipation for the feeling of those lips on mine. However it never came. I felt him withdraw from my face and slowly remove his leg that I was laying on.

I felt him slip his fur coat under my head as he quietly walked out of the cave. I waited until I could no longer hear his footsteps, and let out a sigh..

Was he really going to kiss me?? Why didn't he??

I slowly sat up and let my thoughts sink in. I looked down at my clothes and pulled my face in disgust.

I still had dry blood on me from throwing up last night.

I wasn't expecting to get sick so soon.. I had taken my medication just before we left and usually it lasted for about three days before my blood clogged again.

I got up and walked to entrance of the cave and looked around. He was no where to be seen. His horse was still here.. so where did he go?I walked and tried to follow the path he made in the snow.

I walked for about half a mile when I saw his clothes

on the floor. I almost panicked if it wasn't for the talon marks that replaced his shoeprint.

He must have gone to stretch out.. I thought..

Looking at myself, I turned around to head back, when I heard the sound of water. I followed it down a narrow pathway that led me to a beautiful scenery.

I gasped in astonishment at the spectacular scene in front of me. There was a marvelous rock feature surrounding the body of water that gathered between it creating a pool-like feature which was a result of the slight waterfall , that had the water spurting over and into the pool. It looked so inviting..

I removed all my clothes and slowly stepped into the ice cold water, letting it relax me. I walked deeper into it till the water reached my neck. I went underneath the water and sat there till I couldn't hold my breathe anymore.

As I came up, I was greeted by the sight of the most magnificent looking dragon, that peered at me with such curiosity..

I had never seen one in real life before. I only saw them in the books I read and let my mind do the rest, but here standing before me, was Solveig in his dragon form.

He was utterly humungous!! His scales gleamed in the morning sunlight. His eyes were a fiery red, that looked like rubies. His teeth looked so sharp, as though they could tear through armor.

I moved closer to the edge of the pool to get a closer look at him when he growled slightly before he lowered his head.

I raised my wet hand and slowly ran it across his head. I was amazed at how his skin felt. He felt so hot, despite the cold weather. Like a piece of hot coal.I ran my hand downwards over what I presumed to be his cheek. I could hear him purr slightly as I caressed his cheek.

"You are so beautiful "I said as I kept my hand on his face and looked into his dragon eyes. He withdrew from me and I moved back a bit , standing in the middle of the pool.

I watched as he slowly transformed back into his human body. It was a magical thing to see. How his bones all shaped back to their original forms and formed his body.

I almost choked at the sight before me. He stood in front of me completely naked. I mean naked!!

I could not tear my eyes away from him. His body was perfect. He wasn't overly muscular, and neither lean like me. He had just the right amount of muscle on him.

He had perfectly broad shoulders and a smoothly toned chest. My eyes travelled down to his eight pack that stood out. I so much wanted to run my fingers over his body.

He walked towards me and I couldn't help but look at him as he did. We did not break eye contact even as he placed his foot inside the water, getting in so slowly, it felt like he was doing it on purpose.

I could hear the water sizzle as it made contact with his skin, resulting in it becoming boiling hot. Steam started to come out of the water as he walked in till he was neck deep.

With each step that he took towards me, I could feel my heart beating against my rib cage.

I wanted to touch this man, in places I never even thought about before. I wanted to feel his blazing hot skin on mine. I wanted...

I wanted all of him.. I wanted him now....

He walked till he was almost touching my chest. He leaned his head inline with my ear and whispered...

"You're beautiful too"
