My mom narrowed her eyes at my dads’ as they held up their hands in the universal sign of surrender. “How do you know this, Windy? Is this another one of your powers?”

“I’m not sure if it is or not.” I sighed. “Your body is rejecting the poison. You need to call in the doc fast if you want to know what it is. You will also need to set up a boundary line and make the property a no-fly zone, or a no teleporting zone. It’s how someone is getting in here to hear what we are saying, right, Rose?” I reached out and grabbed the vampyre out of thin air as everyone sucked in a breath.

Windy’s POV

I shook the vampyre a few times and turned her so she could look into my eyes. She thought she had the upper hand and she tried to pull me into her gaze, giving herself a headache. Of course. I smirked at her, then a wide grin showed up on my face. I could tell she was confused as to why she couldn’t get me to do her will and she couldn’t read my mind.

I looked at Sonny and raised an eyebrow. I wanted to see what he could do to a supernatural that wasn’t a werewolf. He knew what I meant. I saw him slowly walk over to us. I let go of Rose just as he got to her. I could see her about to teleport, but she didn’t get a chance to move.

“Stop! You will stay where you are. And, you will tell me who sent you and why. Now!” Sonny growled out.

I watched Rose try to fight his command. “The Queen and King of the vampyres sent me,” She bit out. “They need information about what you are planning against them. They need to know if you know about their program with the skinwalkers.”

“And, this was worth your life?” He asked incredulously. “Did you think you would get away from us? She nodded her head, a smirk on her face. She tried to teleport again but she couldn’t move. “Having a problem with your teleportation?” Sonny taunted.

“You can’t do anything to me.”

I noticed another disturbance. I walked out of the office door and went invisible as I walked back in. I could see the other person in the room better when I was invisible. I walked over to this person and grabbed them by the throat, causing him to show up to everyone else. It looked as if he was choking by himself. I made sure there was no one else in the room, slowly showing myself.

“Found another one, Sonny,” I informed him as I walked him over to Sonny and by his friend Rose. “Sonny, meet Cyrus.” The man whipped his towards me as I snickered. He thought he was better than Rose. I read the man’s sick mind. He was disgusting and perverted. I could tell when Sonny read the man’s mind. He was trying not to shudder.

“You are one messed up cat shifter. And, if you think my mom would let you touch her, knowing how your sick mind thinks? You would be dead before you took a step close to her,” Sonny informed the sick freak.

I heard a knock on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it for Maximus.

I was a little shocked that I knew who was there before I opened the door, so my mouth was gaped open before I snapped it closed. “Hey, how did you know we had a vampyre here?” I asked as I put a finger to my lips.

He nodded. “I was working in my office when a little man came and got me.”

“I know who came to see you, but I’m not sure why,” I said as I walked over to him and gave him a sideways hug.

He turned to see who the vampyre was after he hugged me back. “Well, isn’t little Rose. Have you been trying to get more information for the defunct King and Queen?”

“That’s not any of your-” Rose tried to say.

“-you will answer him truthfully,” Sonny commanded her, causing Maximus to jerk back and look at Sonny in disbelief.

“Of course, I was trying to get information when she.” She nodded toward me. “Pulled me out of the shadows,” Rose spit out and crossed her arms as she gave a death glare.

“Do you mind if I put her in my new prison or do you need to keep her?” Maximus asked as he shook Sonny.

I could tell he wasn’t sure who Sonny was or me but he was trying to figure it out. I almost started laughing as he tried to read our minds. He reached up and rubbed his head.

“Come back after you drop Rose in your prison, okay?” Sony smiled and handed Rose to her. "Oh, Maximus?" Maximus turned around towards us. "She has witch blood too."

I listened to Sonny command her to go with Maximus and not to fight him about going to prison. He made sure to tell her she was not to escape the prison at any time no matter what. I wanted to laugh at the faces Maximus was making. I figured it wouldn’t take but a matter of minutes before he got back to us.

I walked to the door and opened it before Maximus could knock, surprising him again. “Come on in, Maximus, and we will let you know what’s going on before you hear it from someone else.”

Maximus nodded his head and walked into the office. “Who are you?”

I pointed to Sonny. “That’s Sonny and he’s the new King of the supernaturals. I’m Windy and I’m the new Beta of the supernaturals,” I explained as I watched his mouth gaped open.

“You two were ten-year-olds last time I saw you. Did your mom plant you two in Miracle Grow or what?”

“Or what is about right. Our wolves, yes our wolves, picked us to become the new King and Beta of the supernaturals,” I informed him.

“Maximus, you will still be the King of the vampyres as will the other King and Queens. But, you will answer to me. I know it’s weird seeing us all grown up. Believe me, it’s weird for both of us and our parents. I am wondering if the Royal wolves picked us on accident,” Sonny told Maximus as he started laughing.

"Stop! We picked you because you are a man and a woman of honor. So, don't say we made a mistake. You hear me?" Our wolves yelled at us.

Maximus went to bow to us. “You’re our friend. Please don’t bow to us unless we are in court, okay?” I pleaded with Maximus.

“Sorry, but I will have to bow every time. It’s an automatic response to the Royals,” he respectively said.

“You may rise, Maximus. Any time you see us outside of court you will not bow,” Sonny commanded as Maximus took in a deep breath.

“Thanks for that. I don’t want to upset our friendship. I can’t wait to see you two in action. But, you will need to be careful of who you befriend. Court is a dangerous place to be. Everyone will want to be you two but without the Royal seal, they won’t be able to.

I didn’t know what a Royal seal would look like and I wasn't sure I wanted to. Of course, I felt a burn start on my wrist. It wasn’t getting unbearable. I grabbed my wrist and looked at it. I wanted to make sure something didn’t bite me. I knew the cat shifter was still in the room and didn’t know if he stuck me with something. I was sure he didn’t touch me but something was happening.
