Alexa’s POV

I walked through the hallway, trying to figure out where the map was taking me on my first day.

I accidentally bumped into a wall, and it hurt. I rubbed my forehead, feeling embarrassed.

“Ouch!” I complained, and then I heard a wall-like chuckle. Wait, do walls laugh?

Looking up, I saw deep blue eyes. My eyes went down to a strong chest, the same one I hit earlier. I stepped back, realizing it was a guy. My face felt hot from blushing.

“Sorry,” I whispered, trying to walk past him, but he stopped me again.

Yep, he’s giving off Damon vibes.

“New here?” he asked, tilting his head. His voice felt nice.

I looked down, feeling shy. “Yeah, kinda. Can I go now?” I mumbled, wanting to move on, but he stood in my way.

Just like Damon would.

“Wait. Let me show you to your class,” he said, surprising me. I looked at him, unsure, and gave him my schedule. He looked at it and smiled.

“First class is English, but Mr. David isn’t here, so you’ve got free time,” he said, folding the paper and looking at me.

He seemed friendly.

“Thanks,” I said, really smiling. There was a quiet moment, and then he cleared his throat.

“I’m Felix,” he said, reaching out his hand. I shook it, and he smirked.

“Alexa.” I tried to take my hand back, but he held it, and our noses almost touched. I blushed.

One more inch, and our lips would...

“See you, Alexa,” he whispered, tucking my hair. He kissed my hand, and I blushed harder.

What just happened?

The day went well. Lunch came quickly. The cafeteria was crowded, so I went to the library. I opened my lunch, and the door banged open, startling me.

I picked up the lid, and there was Felix. He looked relieved.

“Hey, Cupcake, I was worried,” he said. I raised an eyebrow at the nickname.

“Worried?”

“Yeah, how about we eat at the café?” he suggested. I shook my head.

“Too crowded.” I explained, and he was right there. He made me comfortable, and I wasn’t feeling weird even though we just met.

“What’s your plan?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. He licked his lips, looking at my lunch.

“I like sandwiches.”

So we ate together. Felix was funny and nice. It felt like we were old friends catching up. The bell rang, and I packed up, waving as I left the library.

Footsteps followed me. I turned, and there was Felix, doing a funny walk. He smirked as he caught my eye, and I giggled.

At my locker, I saw people staring at me, giving me chills.

Boys in black jackets were checking me out, but they stopped when Felix showed up.

I faced him at my classroom door. He smiled and chuckled.

“See you, Muffin,” he left.

Another nickname?

After school, those guys were staring again.

I ignored them and kept walking. One came closer, smirking, but Felix appeared.

“Leave her alone, Jackson,” he warned.

What’s happening?

“He her boyfriend now?” Jackson asked.

“Maybe. Not your business,” Felix replied, not looking at me.

Such an attitude.

I sighed, turned, and walked home. I thought I saw regret on his face for a moment, but then it was gone.
