Poem 1 - Regrets

I lost my friend, but that’s alright,

I lost her, but I am fine,

Not to mention, it’s my fault; I betrayed her.

I know I was stupid, I lost, it’s over and forever,

I made a foolish mistake, never apologized.

It’s because of what I’ve done,

I don’t even know where you are,

I don’t remember you telling me.

I didn’t know it’s you,

You wanted to tell me; I never realized

As I sent you away, seeing who you indeed are,

I didn’t apologize.

I wonder where you are if you remember me,

We were like best friends, did you forget?

I never gave it a thought,

What has been brought,

What does this poem bring?

Nothing, my dear friend.

We used to be close; now it’s over.

However don’t worry, you’re not the only one I betrayed.

In school I had a friend since kindergarten,

We were inseparable, even at school, where we met,

Rumors occurred, said she was a thief.

I met another girl, she was better.

Once, my toy was in her bag,

I said we wouldn’t be friends anymore, choosing the other instead,

not knowing her as much as the previous one.

Once, I had my new friend’s toy in my bag, thinking it’s my ex-friend’s revenge,

My new one didn’t kick me down as I did with my previous best friend.

I didn’t regret it or think it’s wrong.

Now tell me, have I done something wrong?

Oh, my other dear best friends, why did it have to end this way?

Was it my fault, was it yours?

Is it mine? I had a choice and ruined it.
