Chapter two

All eyes were on me, my heart hammering in my chest, this was supposed to be the happiest day of my life but why was I here faced with such a surprise, I told myself that I wasn’t going to cry, I wasn’t going to let Ashley see me in such a disorganized state, her face was filled with a satisfactory smile.

She had it all, the beauty, the family, the love, the best school she wanted to go to, Alpha Noah was all I had, why was she taking it away from me in the most heartbroken way right in front of everyone in an auspicious day like this.

“I Noah Timmy, Alpha of Bay Pack reject you, Chloe Howard, as my mate and cut every tie that bonds us from this day forward”. He let the words slide out of his mouth like they meant nothing, the pain in my chest grew intense, the tears in my eyes welling up to the brink.

“I Chloe Howard, daughter to beta Raymond accept your rejection and cut all ties that bond us together” I recited and at that moment, I could feel it, the binds, the longing, and that deep feeling all go away replaced with pain so deep that I could barely breathe.

I could no longer hold the tears and as they spewed out from my eyes, I scrambled out of there, everyone in the crowd staring at me, some out of pity while some in mockery, and all I wanted was for the grounds to open up and swallow me up.

I arrived at a buzzing club, my eyes had become red and pale from excessive crying. I walked over to the bar and ordered a shot of tequila. The bartender stared at me intensely before handing out the shot, he was familiar with me and knew that something was wrong.

“Look like you have gotten your wolf, happy birthday to you” The words felt strange and sore to me, this was not the eighteenth birthday that I anticipated all my life and the last thing that I wanted was to be reminded of it.

“Thanks” I gulped in the shot down my stomach and requested another shot and then another and the next hoping that it would make me forget everything that I was feeling. But it was in the pit of my stomach, that hatred, pain, and betrayal could not go away.

“Looks like someone is having a bad day, wasn’t it the birthday you anticipated, did he turn out not to be your mate?” The bartender Josh asked but I was feeling tipsy now and struggled to get on my feet.

“He was my mate, but he rejected me right in front of everyone, he chose my sister instead of me” I explained and made to leave when I sl*pped off and almost fell to the ground, but a strong masculine arm hauled me up as my gaze met his.

He was tall, taller than usual, he had a broad chest that was so firm as I placed my hands right on it, feeling my heart pounding hard, his long blonde hair tumbled around his shoulder and at that moment those warm green eyes were piercing at me that I got carried away.

“Easy dear, you do not want to hurt yourself” His deep voice came through and my heart was still hammering hard right at him, I tilted my head forward still in his arms, and k*ssed him softly.

I have been drunk on several occasions, but never have I acted like this, but with this man, I lost myself to him, carried away in that brief moment of bliss that all I wanted was his strong arms around me forever. “I am sorry about that, I guess that I was a little tipsy today” I muttered and pulled away from him, finding my stance while I struggled to get away from the bar, his broad chest still clouded in my mind.

But as I walked out of the bar, I felt a strong arm pull me towards a car, both our breaths aligned and filled with nothing but lust and desire.

RYDER’S POV****

I sat at the bar sipping a glass of whiskey when a girl walked in and the moment she did, I felt something strange, something that I had never felt before or even permitted to feel, it was longing, like a switch pulled me to her.

She looked pale her hair disheveled and no doubt she had been crying the entire time it took her to get here, my gaze pinned on her the entire time as she kept on gulping in shot after shot of tequila and yet I could not comprehend why I was so drawn to this girl who looked so naive and heartbroken. Unable to resist it anymore, I walked up to her just as she had lost her balance, and my Lycan was unable to resist her despite how much I was trying to hold myself and she ruined everything when she k*ssed me and right there, my Lycan took over and badly wanted to make her his.

I slammed her over to my car, sucking, biting, and k*ssing her l*ps so passionately as my life depended on it, her hands found their way to my shirt while she began to unbutton them.

“I want you, I want you so badly, I have never wanted any man like this in my entire life, make me yours” She pleaded in between her moans, this girl wasn’t making it any easy for my Lycan and I to resist her, as much as I wanted to stop, I could not.

My entire vein was sprouting out, my b*dy hot and intense as I forced the car open with our l*ps still entwined, I thrust her into the car, and she yelped and pulled my shirt away, and my hands found their way to her blossom, pressing onto them softly.

“You are so beautiful ” I moaned out in a hoarse voice wanting more and more of her.
