At seven in the evening, at Bridenville’s most famous Free Life Western restaurant, Briana and Maxim were sitting by the window, dining while overlooking the entire night view of Bridenville.

“Briana, congratulations, MY Corporation won the lawsuit.”

Briana chuckled, raised her gla** to clink with his, took a sip of red wine, and slowly said, “Thank you.”

Maxim put down his wine gla**, his expression unusually tense.

“Today, I had one more thing I wanted to tell you.”

A flicker of confusion pa**ed through Briana’s eyes, “What?”

Maxim’s lips were tightly pressed together as he suddenly stood up and walked over to her. preparing to kneel on one knee, when a cell phone on the side started to ring.

He furrowed his brows, intending to ignore it, but unexpectedly, Briana picked up the phone for him.

“Answer the phone first.”

After the connection was made, whatever was said on the other end caused Maxim’s face to suddenly turn incredibly unpleasant.

After hanging up the phone, he turned to Briana and said, “Grandma suddenly fainted and was hospitalized!”

The two arrived at the hospital, it was already past eight in the evening.

The butler saw them and hurriedly came forward to greet them.

“What did the doctor say?. What was the reason for grandma’s sudden fainting?”

The butler shook his head, “Nothing was found out. The doctor said it might just be low blood sugar in the elderly. We’ll observe for a couple of days.”

Maxim’s expression was icy, “Grandma regularly checks her health, how could she have low blood sugar?”

“I’m not sure either, but the old lady’s appetite has decreased a lot recently. She could only eat half a bowl for each meal.”

Maxim frowned, saying coldly, “I understand. You go back and rest first, I’ll find two caregivers to look after grandma later.”

The butler nodded, “Alright, I will go back and pack some personal clothes for the old lady. The doctor said she needs to be hospitalized for a few days.”

While peeling an apple, Briana said, “Grandma, you should stay in the hospital for a few days and have some more tests. If there’s nothing wrong, we’ll feel relieved.”

Norma frowned, “I’m really fine, staying in the hospital makes me feel uncomfortable all over.

Briana chuckled, “Just a few days. If you’re not used to it, how about I stay here with you for these few days?”

Upon hearing this, Norma reluctantly spoke, “Alright.”

Briana cut the apple into small pieces and blanched them with boiling water before giving them to Norma to eat.

As the two were chatting, Reese and Kendra arrived.

After knowing that Norma was not in serious trouble, the two finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Norma’s expression was indifferent, “Fine, I just have low blood sugar. You guys can go back, there’s nothing to do here.”

Reese nodded. “Alright, Mom, you rest well. I’ll have Kendra come over to make soup for you tomorrow.”

“No need, the caregiver would handle these things.”

She had always disliked this daughter–in–law, so naturally, she didn’t want to see her coming up to her.

As the two were leaving, Kendra turned to Briana and said, “Briana, could you and Maxim step outside for a moment? I have something to tell you”

Stepping out of the ward, Kendra looked at the two and bluntly asked. “When do you plan to remarry?”
