“Open your eyes.” His voice was cold and commanding.

I did as he said, albeit reluctantly.

Liam tightened his grip on my chin so hard that it made me grimace in pain. I

cast a glare in his direction.

“You should be looking at me. That way, you wouldn’t be thinking about some

other men.”

I snapped at him, “Were all of your women thinking about other men while

they were in bed with you?”

Liam said, “A project that uses AR technology to create holographic images

of the deceased. The project is not too difficult, and you can even present it

as your graduation project.”

I did not expect him to bring up this topic.

He kept his gaze on me. “The minimum budget required to run the project is

estimated at five million dollars. Yet, you’re going to spend two million dollars

on bags now?” 

I replied, “That project is canceled.”

most two years left to live. Eventually, I decided to use the little time I had to

realize my dream.

I’ve always wished to have a chance to meet with my mother once more. I

Back then, I had enough money to conduct the project. However, when the

Just then, Liam reached out and grabbed my wrist. Then, he gently pulied me

toward him and made me sit on his lap.

I tried to squirm free from his embrace. “Let me go first!”

“No.” Liam had both hands circled around my waist now. “Finish your dinner if

you’re still hungry. If you’re feeling full already, we’ll go back to your room

then. I find your bed very comfy.”

Upon hearing those words, I could feel my face burning up and my heart

had done for Rina to me now. Yet, I couldn’t seem to stop myself from

reacting like that to his words.

Just then, Liam leaned next to my ear and whispered in a sweet voice, “My

sweet Vivi.”

His hot breath tickled the skin on my neck.

“You look so adorable when you blush like that.”

I was too stunned to speak.

Is he doing all this because he’s worried that I won’t help explain to the public

about the photos and prove his innocence?

I already told him that I would do whatever that’s necessary.

body. The warmth seeping through the cloth seemed to make that part of

my skin burn and ache a little.

I tried to avoid his touch but to no avail. “You’re the first.”

Liam flashed a smile at me upon hearing my response. Then, he planted a

soft kiss on my cheek.
