Poem 2 - Acceptance✔️

I accept you're no longer in my life,

But I believed one day, I could be your wife,

I didn't realize how wrong I was,

I want to take it all back.

You didn't deserve my sweet words,

You didn't deserve my heart,

Was that the reason you tore it all apart?

If you valued me imagine the possibilities,

You'd be my husband, and I'd be your wife,

But you broke all the promises, till there was nothing left.

I would do anything, in the end, receive nothing, wasn't I worth at least something?

I believed we were perfect,

I believed you, but it was all lies.

I did the right thing by cutting ties.

We wouldn't last this long,

If I always told you what you did wrong,

If I exposed every lie, you told,

I even wrote you a song; you appreciated nothing.

To this day, I'm insecure; what did I do wrong? What made you turn away?

You have no idea how you made me feel,

You have no idea what hell you put me through.

You used me and my heart, but I won't let you break me apart.

I'm moving on, and finally loose,

This is the path I decided to choose,

because I am better without you!
