Embracing Love and Power
Chapter 24 - Boris

Boris stood in the center of the camp, looking out over the soldiers captured from the black elite. The beautiful woman was standing right next to him. “Cassandra I presume?” Tillie asked Ace. He nodded. Tillie and the others moved as quietly as they could over the containers, staying out of sight until they could hear more clearly what Boris was saying. “I have no beef with you guys. I only want to hurt your leader and take what is rightfully mine.” Boris began his speech. “Two years ago, I was the leader of the second squad. But those of you who know me, know that I am much stronger than Timber and therefore the rightful leader of the black elite.” Ace snorted “As if” “Timber felt threatened and tricked a woman into sleeping with him to get rid of me.” Boris continued. “Is he delusional?” “Or under someone’s influence.” Louis pointed out looking at Cassandra.

Tillie studied the beautiful woman, she hadn’t said one word she just stood there looking at the soldiers. “So I want to offer all of you a place in the new elite, under my rule. No one will be harmed.” The soldiers who were tied up didn’t move. “I know this is an important decision, so I’ll let you all think about it.” “Why is nobody agreeing?” Tillie whispered to Ace. “Because for one Boris used to be much worse than Timber and I think most of them think you will save them all.” Ace smirked.

“First order of business. Anwir come here.” Boris said and Tillie watched how one of the soldiers from Makin’s squad walked over to Boris. She noticed that it was the same man she had seen at the gates. “You were right.” Ace whispered. Tillie nodded her head. “You know where we can hurt Timber, don’t you?” Boris asked. Tillie saw how all soldiers looked shocked at Anwir. Everyone could see that Boris was up to no good. “His sister.” Anwir replied with a smug smile. “That bastard.” One of Tillie’s men said. “Find her, it won’t be so hard to find a woman here in this hellhole.” Boris laughed mischievously. Immediately a part of his soldiers disappeared back into the camp to look for Althea. “How fast will our messenger reach Timber?” Tillie asked as she looked at Ace. “At least four hours before they get here.” Tillie sighed. “Follow them discreetly through the camp. I don’t need to stress that they can’t find Althea.” Tillie signaled a couple of her guys. They nodded and disappeared.

“Close the gates.” Boris commanded. “I am going to take a look at my office.” He laughed as he walked towards Timber’s office. “Bring that pathetic piece of squad leather along.” Boris pointed to Makin. “Who in their right mind would give you a squad?” Makin’s head hung low in defeat. Tillie felt how her blood started to boil. “Why didn’t Anwir correct him about Althea being the only female here?” Louis asked curiously. “Because he only hates Timber and Althea.” Ace answered. Tillie sighed this was going to be a long night.

Darkness fell over the camp as Tillie and the others moved over the containers. Althea still hadn’t been found, giving them more time for a plan. Tillie looked at the container holding Timber’s office, Boris had put a chair in front of it and looked out over the camp with an arrogant smile. Tillie needed to contain herself not to smack it off his face. “What’s the plan Breaker?” Louis asked as they watched the soldiers march through the camp. All elite soldiers were lined up in long lines, tied up in the central square. “We have to take Boris out, that’s for sure.” Ace whispered. “But while we do that we need a distraction and we need to be able to free our soldiers.”

Suddenly there was a commotion as the group watched how Boris walked towards the square. “My patience is running out, surly there must be guys among you who hate Timber as much as I do. Think back to all the times he humiliated you, do you really want to keep going through all that? All this will end the moment I have his little sister in my hands.” Boris yelled. Tillie noticed that he was getting angry. No answer followed. “Fine, I’ll start killing soldiers until I have her.” He simply stated. Tillie balled her hands into fists. “You have to sit through this. You can’t help us if you are exposed.” Ace tried to calm her. “I am not going to stand by and look how he is murdering our people.” She answered angry. “He isn’t going to actually do it, no one will join him if he does it.” Louis added. And then the unthinkable happened. Boris pulled a random squad member from the line and slit his throat in one swift movement. Tillie swallowed loudly, one of Makin’s soldiers was killed, a shock wave passed through the camp. “I am going to kill him.” Tillie declared deadly calm.

But it was all far from over when Tillie saw how a group of soldiers approached fast through the alleys of the camp, they were dragging Althea and a beaten up Robert along. “Breaker, I don’t like the look on your face.” Ace said. “Louis, you are in charge of freeing our men, you will know when the time is right. Ace, you need to be my shadow.” Tillie said and before any of them could stop her, she ran over the containers to the alleyway they were dragging Althea through. Tillie jumped down while she drew her sword. Althea was held by four soldiers, with a few quick movements Tillie had freed her and defeated the four soldiers. And then she found herself standing eye to eye with Boris, shielding Althea with her body.

“Breaker” he breathed loudly. Electrical vibrations went over Tillie’s body, she was energized by the fight, she felt how the magic tickled under her skin even though Alden’s spell had blocked it. A smile formed on his lips as he studied Tillie, she didn’t move an inch as she quickly became surrounded by soldiers. “You don’t want her.” Tillie said without emotion. “You are right.” Boris smile widened even further, for a moment Tillie looked confused at him. “I want you.” He stated. “Let her go and I’ll listen to what you have to say. Don’t and I’ll kill you myself.” Tillie hissed between her teeth. “Are you threatening me?” Boris smirked as he took a step closer. “Damn you are so sexy when you are mad.” Tillie raised her eyebrow at the man in front of her. He came closer to her ear, she still didn’t move. “I can’t stop thinking about you naked, Timber has done a fantastic job of drawing you.” Tillie looked confused at him. “What are you saying?” she said sternly. “I wasn’t looking for Althea, I used her to lure you out. When I saw those pictures of you, drawn by his hand, I knew Althea wasn’t the one I needed.” His warm breath brushed her neck and she closed her eyes. “Althea is free to go” He studied Tillie’s face as he waited for her reaction. “You however are not.”

“Tillie, don’t do this, it will crush Timber.” Althea begged from behind her. The soldiers gave way for Althea to leave. “Althea I want you to leave.” Tillie said. “No I am staying by your side.” She said sternly. Tillie lowered her sword and turned around and moved closer towards Althea. “You are going.” She said and then she hugged her whispering the following words. “Find our squad. I want you to open the gate, when Timber is back in case I might fail.” Tillie took a step back from Althea and before she could move she felt how Boris grabbed her wrists tying them together.

“Seriously?” she asked. “I am not taking any risks.” “Are you so afraid of me?” Tillie asked with a smirk. Boris pushed her until she fell to the ground. “I see where you learned your tricks.” Tillie huffed. Boris knelt beside her and grabbed her chin between his fingers. “Sweetheart, you don’t want to push me. If you thought Timber was bad, you haven’t seen shit. But then again I can’t help myself and think that stuff turns you on.” Tillie pulled her chin from his hands as he laughed and pulled her back to her feet. The walk to Timber’s office was long and full of pulling and pushing. Boris pushed her inside and let her slam hard against the ground.

“What are you doing?” She heard a woman scream. She looked up and saw that it was Cassandra. “We need Althea, not some random skank.” She yelled. “She isn’t just any random skank. Timber is in love with her.” Boris answered. “What?” Cassandra looked shocked at him. Boris threw a folder full of shredded paper at her face. The papers flew across the room, one landing in front of Tillie. It was a lovely little portrait of her, she took the piece of paper and folded it between her fingers. Cassandra looked bewildered at the drawings. “This can’t be, this isn’t reel.” “Why are you so shocked?” Boris asked. “Have you seen her? He didn’t make any advances on me, didn’t do shit. And he is in love with her?” Cassandra said. “Maybe it’s the personality.” Tillie smirked. Boris laughed loudly. “Cassandra don’t be offended, but you are nowhere in her league. There is nothing sexier than a woman who can fight.” A rosy blush formed on Tillie’s cheeks as Cassandra stormed out.

Boris grabbed a knife and walked over to Tillie, in one swift movement he cut her shackles and pulled her into a chair. “Don’t mind her.” He said. “Why are you keeping her around, she cheated on you?” Tillie asked. “She didn’t” Boris replied simply. “Timber just had to think she did. She actually wanted to sleep with him, but something stopped him.” Boris shrugged. “You agreed to have your girlfriend seduce Timber and sleep with him?” Tillie asked startled. Boris laughed loudly. “She is not and never was my girlfriend. She is just a good fuck. You on the other hand can be my queen.” Boris said as he pressed a soft kiss on her hand. “I need to check a few things, but when I am done I will show you around and give you my ideas.” Boris smiled as his lips lingered at her neck and then he walked out.

Tillie wrapped her hands over her painful wrists as she looked at Timber’s drawings. They were truly beautiful, one of them even caught her smile. And then there was the one that showed her completely naked. Tillie blushed crimson. The door opened and she quickly pushed the drawings together. Cassandra walked back inside. Tillie could see that she was fuming and she immediately rose from her seat. Cassandra tried to grab Tillie’s neck, but she easily blocked her attack. “What’s your problem?” Tillie asked annoyed. “You are, you destroyed my plan.” Cassandra yelled as she tried to attack Tillie again. Tillie took a side step and pushed Cassandra against the wall by surprise. “You don’t know what’s at stake.” The girl hissed. “Do enlighten me” Tillie said amused. “They need to kill each other, that will only happen with the death of Althea.” Cassandra declared. Tillie put her hands around the girl’s neck and she felt how her skin started to tingle. Cassandra was a mage, Tillie could feel the spell she was casting. “You are a mage and your spell won’t work on me.” She replied, Cassandra looked shocked. “How do you know?” she asked as she studied Tillie’s tattoo’s. “Do they know?” Tillie asked. “No, are you nuts? They would kill me right away.” Cassandra replied. “But you have no trouble with sacrificing a mage?” Tillie asked. Cassandra looked confused at her. “What do you mean?” she asked. “I am on your side and I will stop them both, but not like this.” Tillie stated and then she let go of Cassandra. “You don’t understand, it was my order to do this. It was my order to kill Althea and then let them kill each other. I can’t go back, he won’t let me back in.” She tried. “Your task is over. You can go now.” Tillie said stern. She shook her head as she knew who had given her that order. The girl fled from the room faster than her feeds could carry her.
