Chapter 8 

She went back to her room and locked the door. Then she took a shower and changed her clothes. 

Later in the afternoon, Josephine went to the Levine mansion. 

She signed a three–year prenuptial agreement with Ragnar, and they went to get the marriage certificate together. Just like that, the two strangers became a married couple. 

Ragnar looked at Josephine with his dark eyes and said, “Since we are now married, you can gather your things and move in today. You will live in the Levine mansion from now on.” 

After saying that, Ragnar saw no need to ask Josephine for approval and ordered one of the bodyguards beside him, “Adam, go help Mrs. Levine with her belongings.” 

“Yes!” The bodyguard who was referred to as Adam came forward immediately. 

Josephine looked at Ragnar, who appeared extremely cold and distant, and said, “I don’t own that many things. I can move them by myself, and I can do it without anyone’s help.” 

She was a little afraid of Ragnar, who seemed high and mighty.

Don’t forget that I married you because I wanted you to take care of the babies for me! What’s going to happen to them if you don’t live here? Who is going to take care of them?” 

Josephine fell into silence. 

In the end, she had no choice but to go back to the Zimmerman residence with Adam to gather her belongings. 

When Samantha learned that Josephine was moving out, she immediately stopped Josephine. “Josie, what are you doing? Why are you moving out all of a sudden? Your aunt is on a business trip right now. If you moved away all of a sudden, what am I supposed to tell her when she comes back? She will definitely think you moved out because I bullied you.” 

Samantha then looked at Adam, who was dressed in a black suit and looked intimidating at first glance. “Who is he? Josie, he is not your boyfriend, right? I remember that boyfriend you used to date looked quite graceful. Whereas this one…” 

Josephine said coldly, “It’s none of your business who he is.” 

She had already packed her things. 

There was only one locked luggage with her clothes inside. 

Adam took it. 

Samantha stretched out her hand to stop her from leaving and said, “How is it not my business? I am your elder and I am responsible for your happiness! You just brought a random man here and now you are going to move in with him? No! Josie, you can’t leave!”

Samantha was exhausted and panted heavily. 

She immediately called Jonathan and said, “Jonathan, Josie suddenly brought a man home, packed up her things, and moved out. This damn girl looks quite well–behaved, so how did she get acquainted with another man? Besides, that man doesn’t look like a person to be messed with. He looks very much like a gangster! How are we supposed to ask her to give birth to your baby now?” 

Samantha kept nagging and cursing on the phone. 

When Jonathan learned that Josephine was moving out, he immediately called her. 

At first, Josephine didn’t answer the phone. 

Jonathan continued to call several more times before she finally answered the phone. 

“Josie, I heard from my mother that you brought a man home, packed up your things, and moved out with that man?” 

Josephine said, “Yes.” 

“How could you?” Jonathan said, “Your aunt is still on a business trip. Where are you moving to all of a sudden? Josie, stop being impulsive. My mother was wrong last night. I have lectured her about it, and I will definitely ask her to apologize to you.” 

Jonathan stubbornly disagreed with Josephine moving out and began playing the sympathy card. “Josie, if you move out like this, your aunt and I will be worried! Back then, I promised your aunt that I would take good care of you-” 

Josephine said indifferently, “I have made up my mind about moving out, and I will talk to my aunt about it, Jonathan.” 

Instead of calling him “Uncle Jonathan,” Josephine merely addressed him by his name. 

She warned him in a cold voice, “I won’t tell my aunt what happened this time, but there will be no next time! I hope that after this incident, you’re able to realize your own mistakes and stupidity. You and my aunt are a couple. I hope you won’t listen only to your mother all the time. You should be nicer to my aunt. If you really want a child, then you should get a physical examination together with my aunt. Also, I might be moving out, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t care about my aunt anymore! If you dare to bully her or upset her, I will make you pay!” 

Josephine moved into the Levine mansion and was arranged to live next door to Danny and Manny’s room. 

During the day, Josephine executed her skills as a professional nanny and fed Danny and Manny with ease. 

At night, Josephine asked the housekeeper to prepare some warm water. She then bathed Danny and Manny as if she was playing with toys. The housekeeper, who was watching from the side, was stunned by the sight. 

When Josephine started to bathe the babies, she first stretched their muscles and joints and rubbed their bodies all over. Then, stretching out two fingers on each hand, she lifted them up. 

“Ms. Yeager!” 

Everyone in the Levine mansion continued to call her “Ms. Yeager” instead of referring to her as “Mrs. Levine.” It was not only because the marriage between Josephine and Ragnar was a secret marriage but also because Josephine had requested so. 

The housekeeper was terrified. “Look at the way you’re handling them! What if you dropped them or hurt them by accident?” 

Josephine smiled gently, “I won’t.” 

After all, she was a professional nanny. 

In the eyes 

of others, she seemed to be acting recklessly. The way she rubbed the twins might look dangerous, and the manner in which she picked them up just by stretching out two fingers might look casual, but these were all the skills she had learned from her professional training.

“Okay,” Josephine answered. 

In fact, she was about to be done with the bath before he walked in.
