Chapter 55 

She buried her head into Ragnar’s embrace. Both her arms and legs were also hanging on him as if she was an octopus. 

This time, it was Ragnar who was speechless 

He could not fall asleep anymore. 

He really wanted to wake her up and beat her senseless, but he did not. 

Finally, he gently moved her away from him, got out of bed, and ran to the bathroom for a cold shower, 

After that, he went to the balcony to smoke.

Ragnar’s body became hot again. He gritted his teeth and looked at Josephine angrily, but he did not do anything to her. 

In the end, he gently moved her away, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom again. 

This time, Ragnar stayed in the bathroom for half an hour. 

The next day, when Josephine woke up in the morning, not surprisingly, she was hanging on top of Ragnar again like before whenever she woke up. 

She was hugging Ragnar tight like an octopus.

She gently moved her hands and legs that were on Ragnar’s waist. 

“Huff…” She breathed a sigh of relief. She looked up at Ragnar and found he had already woken up. He looked at her with his eyes 

wide open. 

“You’re awake?” 

“Yeah.” 

Ragnar’s voice was deep and hoarse with a hint of laziness since he had just woken up. “I finally fell asleep, but you had to wake me 

up.” 

Josephine fell silent. 

Her movements were already very gentle. 

“Well, the sun is up. Should we go back?” 

Today was the weekend. Josephine had nothing to do except take care of Danny and Manny and her piano lessons in the afternoon. 

“Yeah. We’ll go back later.” 

Ragnar continued to said to Josephine, “I’ve already called the housekeeper to bring you clothes.” 

At this moment, his gaze darkened as he intently looked at Josephine. He thought of everything that happened last night and the cold showers he had taken. 

“There are more important things to do now!” 

His voice was passionate that it was scary. 

Ragnar then grabbed Josephine’s hand. She was so scared that she wanted to retreat in a hurry. 

But Ragnar held her hand tightly and said in a hoarse voice, “Help me.” 

Josephine blushed upon hearing that. 

“Mr. Levine, no! …” 

She wanted to say that she could not do it. 

But Ragnar gazed at her as if he wanted to swallow her whole. He had a face of resentment and grievance. “It’s all your fault, and it’s also your responsibility! I took cold showers because of you last night. Now, you need to solve this for me. If you don’t do it, then don’t think about leaving here today!”

Josephine did not know what to say. 

She looked at the arrogant, cunning, and very childish man before her and was a little confused, thinking, “How should I be responsible?” 

Ragnar’s hand tightened around Josephine’s, and more than half an hour later, he carried the flushed–face woman into the bathroom. Josephine was so embarrassed that she wished she could hide. 

Ragnar seemed to be in a good mood since he helped her wash her hands. 

He pressed the liquid soap, and his long slender hands were washing Josephine’s hands as he thought, “As I thought. Her hands are really different from mine!” 

When they came out of the bathroom, the doorbell rang. Ragnar went to open the door; it was the housekeeper. They had brought Josephine’s clothes. 

Josephine went to change her clothes. 

After that, she went back to the mansion with Ragnar. 

Ragnar did not leave the car and went straight to the company. 

When Josephine walked in alone, she was still thinking about how to answer Diana’s question when she met Diana later. 

Diana would definitely tease her and ask her about the night she had spent with Ragnar. 

“You’re back, Mrs. Levine?” Conner greeted Josephine and asked, “Mr. Levine told us to prepare breakfast. Do you want to eat now, Mrs. Levine?” 

Josephine had eaten some fish stew last night but was already hungry. 

She nodded. 

When Josephine arrived at the dining table, she noticed she was eating alone. She asked Conner, “Where’s Grandma Diana? Will she not be eating breakfast? Or had she already eaten?” 

She thought that way since it was already quite late. 

Conner smiled. “Mrs. Levine, Mrs. Diana went back to the Levine residence early this morning.”
