Chapter 31 

Ragnar was leaving with Josephine. 

However, Charles stopped him. “Mr. Levine, what’s your relationship with Josie? Is she just a nanny who applied to work for the Levine family, or is she trying to seduce you?” 

At this time, Charles still refused to believe that Josephine had something to do with Ragnar! After all, a man like Ragnar could get any women he wanted. Why would he fancy Josephine? 

But Tatiana was so confident, which was why Charles found Josephine. He wanted to save everything and question her face–to–face. 

“Mr. Levine, Josephine is my fiancée. We’ve been in love for two years, and I know her very well! Now she is angry with me and may have done something wrong. However, I don’t care!” 

Charles looked at Josephine affectionately. 

Then, he looked away and said to Ragnar, “Mr. Levine, if you need a nanny, Josie and I can help you look for more suitable ones. Mr. Levine, please dismiss Josie, and don’t let her work in the Levine mansion anymore.” 

Ragnar then sneered. 

He didn’t answer Charles‘ question at all. 

Instead, he just said to Charles, “Josephine doesn’t even want to quit her job! Who are you to make her quit?” 

Charles‘ face darkened when he heard Ragnar’s words. 

Ragnar stared at him. “Even if she is just the nanny of the Levine family, she is still under me. Stay away from her if you ever see her again. Otherwise…” 

Ragnar then let out a cold sneer. 

“Whatever you have put your effort into achieving will all be gone!” 

Ragnar then left with Josephine while Charles stood there.. 

He watched Josephine and Ragnar walk away and get in the car together. 

His eyes were dark, and he looked terrible! “Josie, you will regret it! I will make you regret it!” he yelled at the slowly starting car. 

In the car. 

Ragnar looked at the woman with her head down and asked, “Why? Do you still have feelings for him?” 

Josephine shook her head. 

Her voice was sad and self–mocking as she said, “I just feel like I’ve never really known this person, but we dated for two years. That’s so depressing.” 

Ragnar then snorted coldly. 

When they got back to the mansion, there was a weird tension between them. 

It was different from the awkwardness and alienation before. 

Josephine was obviously not in high spirits, so she didn’t eat much. After looking at Danny and Manny, she went back to her own room. 

Ragnar’s chest was full of a burning feeling, and he didn’t know why. In short, he felt a little stuffy and irritated. 

He felt that it was because of Josephine when he thought about it. 

Although it was a three–year contract marriage, this woman was already his wife! He thought, “Shouldn’t she explain what has happened just 

now to me?” 

Ragnar would never allow himself to feel wronged. 

He pushed the door open and walked into Josephine’s room. 

At this time, Josephine had already taken a shower, with her hair still wet. She was wearing a set of conservative pajamas which were made 

of cotton. 

She was reading on the soft queen bed at this moment. 

Also, her legs were bent up and moving from time to time. 

She suddenly turned around and looked at Ragnar with widened eyes when she heard the noise! Then, she immediately turned over and got 

out of bed. 

“Mr. Levine, why did you come in? And why didn’t you knock?” 

Ragnar was still thinking about what he had just seen when he came in! He saw her long black hair and her straight and fair back. He also caught a glimpse of her long legs. 

And when she suddenly turned around, the breeze outside the window blew a strand of her hair. Her face was slightly flushed, making her look mesmerizing. 

Ragnar said, “I am entering a room in my house. Why should I knock?” 

He looked at Josephine with wide eyes and said with dissatisfaction, “What’s with the ‘Mr. Levine‘? Why are you being so distant from me? Do 

you want Grandma to expose us when she’s here?” 

Josephine was rendered speechless. 

She thought, “If I don’t call him Mr. Levine, what should I call him then?” 

As if guessing what she was thinking, Ragnar said, “Just call me by my name in the future.” 

Josephine was once again speechless. 

She didn’t dare to do that. 

Ragnar looked at her and said, “Come on, give it a try.” 

Josephine didn’t know what to say. 

She looked up at the man in front of him and then lowered her head. 

“Ragnar,” she called his name in a low voice. 

It was really soft! It sounded like a mosquito or a fly, but for some reason, it made Ragnar feel some type of way when he heard it. 

“Hm. Just call me that from now on, but be confident and speak louder next time. Make it sound natural too.” 

Ragnar left after saying that. He didn’t remember what he initially wanted to say to this woman when he pushed the door open. 

And then that night. 

When Ragnar was taking a shower in the bathroom, the scene of Josephine lying on the bed reading somehow appeared in his mind… 

Another two days passed. 

That night, Danny and Manny suddenly cried non–stop! 

Tatiana seemed to be waiting deliberately without rest at all. She rushed over immediately. “Hannah, what’s going on? Why are the twins. crying so hard?” 

Hannah didn’t know what was wrong. 

“Oh my God!” 

Tatiana exclaimed, “Hannah, why do I see hives on the twins? Are they allergic?” 

“Hurry up and call a doctor! I’ll inform Mr. Levine now!” Hannah was a little anxious as well. 

“Okay, I’ll do it right now!” 

She immediately walked out the door and went to Conner to contact the doctor at home. 

Hannah had just walked out of the room, and Tatiana followed as well. She knocked on the door of Ragnar’s room. 

She saw a tall man in navy pajamas who was not as cold as he usually was during the day. Tatiana’s eyes were full of the excitement and the shyness of a normal girl. 

However, she didn’t forget the main issue. 

Soon, she put on an anxious look. “Mr. Levine, go and have a look at the twins. They are crying hard.” 

Ragnar was stunned! 

He immediately rushed to Danny and Manny’s room.

Then, he saw Danny and Manny crying bitterly. He asked coldly, “Where is Josephine? Why isn’t she here when the kids are crying so hard?” 

Tatiana shook her head. 

She told Ragnar, “Maybe she is sleeping soundly, so she didn’t hear them crying.” 

Ragnar turned around and immediately knocked on Josephine’s door. 

Josephine came out in a daze. “What’s wrong?” 

Ragnar said in a bad tone, “Can’t you hear the children crying bitterly?” 

Only then did Josephine realize that the children were crying loudly even though they were only separated by a room and an aisle. It was a 

very abnormal cry. 

Even if it were a nightmare before, the children wouldn’t cry so hard like this. 

She immediately ran to the children’s room. 

After checking, she immediately said, “The kids have an allergic reaction!” 

Ragnar frowned. 

Tatiana didn’t wait for him to say anything and quickly asked Josephine, “How can the twins have an allergic reaction? Josephine, didn’t Hannah usually give them the food according to your instructions?” 

At this time, Hannah ran back.
