Chapter 323

In the Pennyfeather family’s hallway, Cristina watched as Glenn Pennyfeather walked in, her attitude

immediately shifting to one of caution. Glenn’s mood has decreased lately because of some health

issues.

In his presence, Cristina didn’t dare to raise her voice.

“Glenn, have you made your move?”

Glenn scoffed and took a seat.

“If she dares to mess with the Pennyfeathers, she better brace for my revenge.”

Hearing this, Cristina got tense because Maja was still in Holden’s good graces. If anything happened

to her, Holden would surely dig into it.

With Holden’s clout, he could uncover the truth, and then not only would Glenn be in hot water, but the

whole Pennyfeather family could also be dragged into it. “Glenn, I’ve always told you to keep your

cool.”

Glenn slammed his glass onto the coffee table, causing Cristina to flinch.

After the incident, Glenn had been brooding and unwilling to listen to anyone, especially Cristina.

He blamed his current situation on Cristina’s secret affair with Carter Booth.

If their affair hadn’t been exposed, they wouldn’t have been so desperate to deal with Maja, and he

wouldn’t have gotten hurt because of her.

Glenn’s eyes were filled with hatred, his nails digging into his palms.

“I wamed you and Carter to be careful, but you couldn’t control yourself, damn it!”

Cristina’s face changed.

“I was just worried about retaliation from the Raymonds. We can’t beat Holden.”

Just as she finished, Tricia Pennyfeather spoke calmly down from upstairs, “Don’t worry; I’ve given

Glenn an idea. He’s going to make Maja beliève that it was Carlene’s doing. This will pit her against

Carlene. Ian will naturally support Carlene and divorce her immediately. Once she loses the protection

of the Raymonds, I’ll hand her over to my brother as a plaything.”

Hearing this, Cristina breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God for Tricia. Otherwise, Glenn might have

completely lost it.

Cristina wanted to get rid of Maja as soon as possible so that Neil’s secret wouldn’t be exposed.

But if anything happened to Maja, it would definitely involve the Raymonds. It wasn’t the right time to

make a move yet. However, Tricia’s scheme was pretty clever, using Carlene’s influence.

If she had known it would turn out this way, she wouldn’t have involved Hattie Zimmer. She should

have just created conflict between Maja and Carlene.

But without Hattie Zimmer, how could Maja have walked into their trap willingly?

Cristina sneered. She could just sit back and watch now.

Maja was feeling all muddled, not knowing where she had been taken. The discomfort made her want

to throw up.

Her nostrils were filled with the smell of alcohol. She recognized the faces of the two men who had

kidnapped her – those fake lawyers!

“Ms. Pennyfeather, you can’t blame us. You messed with the wrong people.”

“They’ve ordered us to humiliate you thoroughly. No one can protect you today.”

This looked like a seedy bar.

Maja was being escorted; they took her to a private room.

The two men were excited, their faces flushed. Glenn had clarified that he didn’t mind them using her

as a plaything.

She was indeed beautiful; they couldn’t wait any longer. They even planned to take photos as a

souvenir. Glenn said the photos would come in handy.

He just wanted to see how others would humiliate Maja since he couldn’t do it himself.

Glenn was sure that Maja wouldn’t dare to go public with this. Her reputation would be ruined if this got

out, and the Raymonds wouldn’t accept her. Since they couldn’t kill Maja, they would humiliate her first.

That would help Glenn vent his anger.
