The music shop owner was still eagerly pitching pianos when he gave Henry a nudge.

"Mr. Haskins, meet our finest piano instructor. Why don't you let him show off the instrument's sound quality for you?"

Fitch's gaze lingered on Henry for just a second before he nodded, setting Nolan down on a tiny couch nearby.

With a polite smile, Henry took a seat at the piano bench and his fingers began to dance across the keys.

Henry had studied abroad, and his piano skills were indeed impressive.

As the last note of his piece faded, Henry rose to his feet only to be greeted by his phone's ringtone; Zoey was calling.

Fitch was engrossed in examining a piano, so Henry stepped aside to speak in hushed tones.

"Zoey, what's up?"

"Hey Henry, I left my purse in your car. Mind if I swing by the music shop to grab it?"

"Sure thing, I'll wait for you out front."

While the shop owner continued to engage Fitch, Nolan's attention never wavered from Henry, which made Henry feel slightly uneasy.

The phone buzzed again, signaling Zoey's arrival. Seeing Fitch in the midst of closing the deal, Henry pushed open the glass door and stepped out onto the sidewalk.

Zoey had hailed a cab and greeted Henry with a smile as she got out.

"Where's your car? Totally slipped my mind when I stepped out."

Henry walked over to his vehicle and retrieved her purse.

As Zoey took her purse, her eyes caught sight of the music shop's interior through a large display window, and her gaze met Nolan's.

Nolan was sitting on the couch, his expression shifting in an instant.

Unsure if he was looking at her, Zoey quickly diverted her gaze.

"I'm off then, Henry."

"Zoey, I'm really sorry about today. How about dinner tonight to make it up to you?"

"Sounds good, I'm free whenever."

As the words left her lips, Henry stepped closer and enveloped her in a brief hug.

Zoey stiffened, caught off guard by the sudden embrace.

After just three seconds, Henry released her and ruffled her hair gently.

"I mean it, Zoey. I'm not in a rush to get married, but I really like your spirit. Please, give it some thought."

Zoey opened her mouth but found herself at a loss for words.

Her eyes drifted to the side, noticing the child still watching. She quickly stepped back, not wanting to set a bad example.

"I'm considering it, Henry. I think you're a good match, but I need to get to know you better; we haven't known each other long."

"I understand. Let's spend more time together."

With a sigh of relief, Zoey clutched her purse and climbed into a taxi parked nearby.

Inside the shop, Fitch had finished making his payment.

"Daddy!"

Nolan's voice broke through, a rarity for the boy who seldom spoke unless prompted.

"Nolan, what is it?"

Nolan's mouth twitched, his finger pointing outside.

Fitch glanced out just in time to see Henry returning.

"You want him to teach you piano, Nolan?"

Despite Nolan's autism, he was incredibly bright.

There's a saying: When God closes a door, He opens a window. Nolan's intelligence was well above average, and he was a well-behaved child. Whatever Nolan desired, Fitch would move heaven and earth to provide.

Nolan shook his head, a frown creasing his forehead.

His furrowed brow was the spitting image of Fitch as a child, melting Fitch's heart on the spot.

"Are you hungry then?"

"Mommy, I saw her."
